Your favorite Clone Troopers from the 501st are entering battle with renewed resolve. Echo, Fives, and Rex have been reworked and proudly represent their legion with a new 501st faction tag!

Following the commands of a Jedi General, Clone Captain Rex leads the 501st into the heat of battle, and Rex’s reworked kit allows the new 501st faction to synergize even better with their mass-produced brethren. Fives and Echo work well together, and their history in Domino Squad means Fives is willing to sacrifice anything to keep his Clone Trooper allies alive. Echo lays down a hail of blaster fire whenever his allies take aim and can now stun enemy Droids. Don’t underestimate this hard-hitting squad – their quick reflexes and counter attacks were the downfall of many droid armies and anyone else who stood against the Galactic Republic.

Closing down Grand Arena Championships 8/19

Hello Holotable Heroes,

We have decided to bring the current Grand Arena Championship to an early end due to issues around:

• Some feats completion pointing to the incorrect conditions
• Login Issues preventing access or kicking players
• New scoring issue where some players are reporting early points

While login issues seem to be resolved, we’d like to make sure there are no players left out of the sign up for this Championship. We plan to re-start the Grand Arena Championship in the very near future (likely this week) and will share the updated schedule as soon as we’ve decided the best timing.

We will be sending players 150 Crystals and 250 Championship Tokens for the inconvenience of rescheduling the Championship. Our apologies for these issues and we’re excited to re-start the Championship in a few days.

Mark has been working in the gaming industry for many years and brings his expertise as a veteran producer to Capital Games. MD - Well, that’s a big question. I’m a gaming industry veteran and earned my first video game paycheck back in 1987. That was actually working as an independent developer on a science fiction role playing game (Hard Nova) that was published by EA. Since then, I’ve worked for a number of video game companies including 3DO, LucasArts, & Telltale. The Grand Arena Championships Exhibition has wrapped up and we wanted to take this moment to reflect on the gameplay experience and where we want to take Championships in the future.

The Exhibition gave everyone a chance to try the new mode and gave us the opportunity to find lots of small bugs (and several big ones) and get your feedback on next steps for the mode. We gathered a ton of data around matchups, scoring, feats and are making some changes for the first non-exhibition Grand Arena Championship. Grand Arena has obviously been a big topic of conversation around the studio as well and I want to share what we have been discussing and thinking about.

Top Areas of Discussion:

• Ensuring matchmaking is fair, and feels fun
• Integrity of scoring and the leaderboard
• Monitoring, investigating, and removing cheaters
• Fixing technical issues such as crashes, tie breakers, and soft locks

Darth Malak, the Dark Lord of the Sith, returns Aug 15th! Are you ready for the showdown on the Star Forge?

In the first battle, you’ll face Darth Malak using Jedi Knight Revan and any four of the characters needed to unlock Jedi Knight Revan (Bastila Shan, Jolee Bindo, T3-M4, Mission, and Zaalbar). The second battle will require Darth Revan with any four of the characters that unlocked Darth Revan, Canderous Ordo, Carth Onasi, Juhani, HK-47 and Bastila Shan (Fallen). Darth Malak shards will appear in the Guild Event Store when you unlock Darth Malak at Five Stars.

Several players flagged an interaction between Bossk and Jawa Scavenger over the weekend and we are currently investigating. We may make changes to how this interaction presently works, but we need some time to review our best options to resolve this issue. As always, we will communicate our plans in advance if we decide to make any changes to these characters.

Gameplay improvement:

• Players will be prevented from making duplicate G13 finisher items.
• Players who attempt to create a duplicate G13 finisher item will receive the following message:

We’ve seen a lot of conversation today in response to some videos that were posted to YouTube in the last day highlighting a way to cheat in the game. These videos are a violation of the User Agreement (which everyone agrees to by playing the game), and we’d like to remind the community that cheating and violations of the User Agreement can result in suspension or a permanent ban.
