CG_Cyanides recently announced our intention to change the way Zetas drop in Ship Ability Materials Challenges. I'm excited to announce that the change is coming with the next release which is planned for today, June 26th.

To summarize the change: Ship Ability Materials Challenges will now drop a guaranteed zeta. We are removing the zero and two options.

Keep an eye out for the patch notes announcing that this is live.

Hi Holotable Heroes!

We are releasing a Server Update (a day earlier than usual) as we need to deploy several changes in preparation for today’s big Content Update. All of these changes will appear with the launch of the release later today and not during this Server Update so expect the full list of patch notes this afternoon.

We will be rolling out the server update over the next several hours and you may be asked to reboot your client. Once complete, we will notify you in this thread.

We've got a lot going on this week, and we'll be posting the July calendar within the next day or two, but I wanted to get the planned schedule in front of you for the Championship Exhibition and new Geonosis Territory Battle that's launching soon.

Our intention with the Geonosis Territory Battle was to have a shorter experience consisting of four 24-hour phases. Unfortunately, due to a bug with scheduling Territory Battles, we will have to extend each phase to 36-hours for the foreseeable future.

Here's the resulting schedule:

Additionally, we're still in the Grand Arena Exhibition season, so if any issues crop up, we'll deal with those and change the schedule accordingly.

We wanted to reach out and give you an update on how platoons will work in the Geonosis Territory Battle. Our plan for platoons is to make them static in all phases. However, given that this represents the most end game of end game content and that the platoon abilities are key to victory at this time, we wanted to make the strategic trade off between using a character in a platoon and using the character in combat a meaningful decision. This results in many desirable characters being included in platoons (Darth Malak, Darth Revan, General Grievous, etc). Additionally, the number of each of these required will increase as the phase increases. Our goal is to alleviate some of the intraguild planning, while also challenging players’ rosters.

As a related side note, the minimum character/ship star requirements for each phase is as follows:
  • Phase 1 = 6*
  • Phase 2 = 6*
  • Phase 3 = 7*

We wanted to let the players know we will be making a small, but visually impactful changes to the way ship combat plays. Presently, all Capital Ship abilities have a small cinematic that plays when they are activated. When we originally made ships, our intent was to give the experience that when a Capital Ship took its turn, that was an important moment in combat to be noted and celebrated. However, as time went on and ship combat matured, the value of this cinematic experience may have diminished.

To reconcile how the game has evolved over time, we have removed all cinematics from Capital Ship abilities except for “Ultimate” abilities (Convergence, Imperial Assault, Strategic Dominance, and Master Plan). We believe this should speed up the overall combat experience, while also still giving visual weight to a Capital Ship using its ultimate ability. We hope that makes your pitched, space dogfights feel that much more pitched.

Due to issues with the Grand Arena Championship exhibition over the weekend that prevented many players from completing the Grand Arena event, we will be resetting all players' Championship Lifetime Score, Best Score, and Best Rank. We will also be restarting both the exhibition Championship and the Grand Arena event. You will keep any Championship Tokens earned and we are compensating all level 85 players with 1st place rewards from the Grand Arena event.

We will start the roll out for server update now and we will notify you in this thread once complete.

Hi folks, the team got together early this morning and is continuing to discuss our plans to compensate players for last week's Grand Arena Championship Exhibition that we had to cut short, as well as the plan to get the next Exhibition running.

We intend to communicate our plans around both the planned compensation and the schedule moving forward, and I'll use this thread to communicate updates across the day as they become available.

Here are a few things we already have decided upon:

IMPLICATIONS ON CHAMPIONSHIP AND LIFETIME SCORE & GAC CURRENCY
In resetting the Exhibition, we'll be resetting both the accumulated Championship and Lifetime Score. We'll likely also reset it again at the end of the Exhibition Season before we move into prime time.

You will, however, keep your accumulated GAC currency from the last event.

Hi all,

We've discovered a small issue with the current Exhibition Championship. We're going to attempt a fix this evening. The only expected impact is a change to the round counter, however we'll have to do a loud release (i.e., your client will restart). Keep an eye out for an in-game pop-up for more information!

Although we're hopeful this fix will work and the Championship will be not be interrupted, there's a chance this fix won't take, and we'll update you accordingly if that happens to be the case.

The Exhibition championship is in place to ensure player experience is as smooth as possible and to ensure we've got all of our operational ducks in a row. Thanks for your patience!

We’ve made some improvements to General Grievous and MagnaGuard!
General Grievous
  • Grievous Wounds: This attack can no longer be evaded. This affects all ability tiers.
  • Daunting Presence: While Grievous is the leader, Target Locked enemies can no longer counter attack. This affects the final tier (Zeta level).
IG-100 MagnaGuard
  • Relentless Assault: MagnaGuard now gains Taunt whenever it uses an ability, no longer just during its turn. Additionally, MagnaGuard grants Stealth for 1 turn to all other Separatist Droid allies at the start of each encounter if Grievous is an ally. Both of these additions affect all ability tiers.

In preparation for the introduction of our Grand Arena Championships, we’re intensifying our efforts to root out and prevent cheating in competitive play. These efforts include:
