Hey guys! If you previously had this part, but it has suddenly gone missing, I have reached out to the TD2 team to look into it.

Thanks for letting us know. Just to double check, you did download a patch, right?

And it's the same as before, after Easy Anti Cheat is done, the boot up is slow (long black screen) and then the loading before your agent shows up, as well as afterwards is very slow?

I can't speak for the specific underlying cause, but as mentioned it's a priority for us to fix.

I understand this can be frustrating for affected PC players.

We are working hard to address this and as soon as a fix is ready to be deployed, it will be.

Others in this thread have already taken the words right out of my mouth. But yes, that is intended - in order to keep the selection of activities in the open world fluid and changing. As TG said, fast travel points can still be used via Safe Houses, Mission start locations, and Control Points that you have captured.

How might having Gear Sets be flatly "'better' than regular gear" impact the meta, common builds, and the use of current high-end loadouts?

Glad you took a chance and enjoyed yourself, OP.

All the discussion on the NPC difficulty changes is appreciated! I do think blaming the changes on solo players is a bit unfair, as the community was saying that the scaling for group play was actually creating some of the problems. This is just from my opinion as someone who was reading a lot of difficulty threads when the game first released.

I know that once you've completed difficult content, it can feel weird to see it made easier for the people following in your footsteps. That being said, we're talking about content that is catered toward dedicated players (Challenge and Heroic difficulties). I don't think the goal was to make those difficulties "casual", but to make the difficulty something that dedicated players found rewarding instead of feeling like the AI had too many unfair advantages.
