Really sorry to hear about this friend. I'm sure this is a super difficult time.
For whatever its worth, I'm really glad you had fun with the game. Folks like you are why we do it.
Keep it real homie.

Well, think about how many similar changes would probably take "15 minutes tops" to fix. It quickly adds up in time. So they instead ignore low priority bugs like this to focus on bugs that are more likely to lose them revenue. Cause who's really suffering from not being able to build Seraph's with Lifeline items.
Not saying its right, but its how companies work. They focus on the bigger stuff and maybe never get to the little stuff.
Another perspective that helps prioritize things is considering factors like severity and incidence rate.
This has low incidence rate: very very few builds ask for this combination of items This has low severity: it doesn’t crash the server, it doesn’t create infinite stats, it doesn’t stop abilities from working, etc

just speakin the truth
Can't believe Paul let you get away with this.
Fixed an issue where scaling the HUD could break parts of the shop. (Allan, add a joke about scaling here.)
Damn it Allan
(Barack, Respond to the comment about your stupid joke.)
You can now drag the corner of the shop to scale the size up and down. Be careful, it's ticklish!
The best thing in this patch.
It scales into late game.
I think that’s exactly what they’re doing in this system. I don’t know how long or how much though 🤷🏼♂️
This is exactly what we’re doing. The penalty gets worse and lasts longer when you go afk/leave consecutive games. You have to work off your penalty with good behavior.
Wonder if they track average number of afks. It'd be interesting to see the effect these changes have on the number of afkers
Ya
"Fixed an issue that required you to have to press Shift+Enter twice in order to say "gg wp" after the Nexus explodes"
Finally this is fixed. Luckily not game breaking, but a bit frustrating. And also bold to assume everyone says gg wp.
That's what everyone always says right?
I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and this post to somehow become a feature request. :sweatguy:
This is unreasonably good. Holy sh*t friend.
Ugh. I'll fix this now.
Why TF did Riot have to be so petty and say it like that? Like damn Riot tell us how you feel lol.
Ayyy lmao
Hey, thanks for the input. Contrary to the flak you guys have been getting I really love the new store and this post is mostly just about my pet peeve with the naming.
I'm a developer and I'm really enthusiastic about UX design as sort of a secondary professional interest, so getting your response is very insteresting to me. I didn't think about user testing and how they recognised the tabs more quickly with this naming - so I learned something today!
Consider my mind changed (but maybe just throw renaming the Mage tab in the air during a meeting because a Gold BR player asked you to :P).
Happy Black Friday to you too and keep up the good work!
If I had one thing to say about design in general it’s this: everything is about trades. You will never have a perfect solution that makes everyone happy. So make the best trades you can, be open to being surprised, and make sure you adhere to your goals.
Howdy, I designed the store. Here to give you some store lore.
Once upon a time: The tabs at the top of all items weren’t classes, they were attributes. Things like magical, physical, durability, etc. you could turn on tabs in combinations to get the profile you wanted. Diana for instance would have magical and durability turned on.
My thinking was that league champions don’t fit into neat little molds so players should have the ability to customize their view. Also note that at this point stat filters had not been implemented.
Well, as we continued to test I learned some things: 1. Stat filters did 90%+ of this job these were doing, were more precise, and more familiar to people. 2. Most folks hated futzing with the attribute filters. They wanted to click one thing as see the items they were looking for.
So I went back to the drawing board and reframed the goals of each system.
The top-level tabs should be easy to understand and get it ...
Read moreEvery single person I've worked with at Riot deeply cares about the player experience. We aren't trying to be lazy, slip things by folks, or otherwise cheat players. We love you folks, even when you write rude things to us on Reddit. <3
Oh, come on. I don't have anything against you personally but you are the mouth of the company in this thread and what you said is clearly not true. Valid criticism of implementations that negatively affect our experience is mostly ignored, unless it happens to be a massive bug.
Come to think of it, i guess that's the reason Boards were killed off. So that you didn't have to read complaints and be accountable.
My dude, I’ve seen people work themselves crazy trying to do something cool for players that no one internally asked for, I’ve seen features that would have made stupid money canned because they wouldn’t run on lower spec machines, and I’ve literally never heard anyone talk about deception. (People were bummed when the boards had to be shut down.)
I’m a designer not a comms person. I don’t like....know how to massage a message or anything. You can either believe we act in good faith and f*ck up occasionally just like the rest of humanity, or you can believe there’s a back room where we plot to ruin your main and the client one knowingly awful decision at a time.
Keep in mind its not about the size itself, that can be scaled up and down. Issue is I guess the width/ratio where you get weird double line pings. And thanks!
Yep, thanks for the clarification.
How does a simple option of rescaling a chat box slip through the world class QA team at Riot? Shop launched with obvious features missing as well. Is this done on purpose to like push the narrative of "hey we're listening to feedback?" Or is it a continual experiment of "hey let's see what we can get away with?"
Few parts to this one:
Please, PLEASE let people adjust chatbox again /u/BarackProbama
Looking into it now.
Did the change reverting the ability to modify the LoL CFG for bigger minimaps (that was originally removed when the preseason patch dropped) make it into this patch? I remember a Rioter stating that was coming back, as well as new scaling options in this patch, but I don’t see any mention of it.
Edit: The Rioter was u/BarackProbama . Hopefully he doesn’t mind me mentioning him and can clarify the matter
It should be in this patch, yes.
Now please let me resize the new shop pls
This is coming in a later patch!
