Hi there
I’d love to get to the bottom of this. We released a number of fixes over the last few days which should have cleared most of this up.

Could I ask that you turn on “download everything” in the launcher to ensure the game has all the files? If this is already the case, or you do so and the issue persists, then would you be willing to file a bug report here: Bug Reporting - EVE Community

In particular, I’d like to get a Loglite log, DXDiag and screenshots / video of what you see.

If you are able to do this, please tag myself and ...

Thank you to everyone that participated. We gathered a lot of really good feedback and are now in defect fighting mode

You probably have ‘download the full EVE game client’ turned on in the launcher. If you turn this off, you will be able to play with the minimal install (it will download things during gameplay in the background as it needs them).

Yep, the more the better

Hi all

We have just enabled DX12 on Singularity. You will need to be using the latest launcher version.

If you have DX12 capable hardware, the game will automatically use it.

If you experience a problem in-game, we would appreciate a bug report (F12).

It would be great to see you tomorrow at our masstest. You can find details here: Mass Test on Singularity: Thursday, June 9th, 2022

For the best experience, we recommend making sur...

Yup, spot on.

We were in a situation where our old Wine client wasn’t really working on M1 properly, so had to make the call on what features we could ship the native mac client without so players could reliably play on it.
Skillplans / gRPC was the main one, which needed quite a bit of development work on. In the scheme of things, I knew it would be annoying, but it wasn’t game-breaking.

The alternative was not shipping the new client until this release…so quite a long time.

This is not my area I’m afraid so can’t offer any insight.

Hi all

Apologies for the delay on this. It’s been a huge piece of work that will serve as the underpinning for many future features that EVE will have. See the devblog here: Introducing Quasar | EVE Online

The good news is that this is now live on Sisi if you’d like to give it a try. We hope to release it in the next major release if we don’t see any issues there.

Please file an EBR if you’ve not already done so, with as many system details as possible. Ideally from the client after a crash and you have restarted the game. If you have any reproduction steps, then please include these as they will help us to reproduce.
We’re trying to find as many common factors as possible between those who are experiencing this issue. We don’t have reproduction right now, as it seems to be very system-specific (hardware, os, etc…).

Disclaimer: While I often use Linux, I do not use it for gaming. I have not investigated what I’m about to say.

CCP has been trying to break apart our monolith for a while. Skill plans were one of the first things to get this treatment. There is a devblog over here that has some information that may...

If you have created tickets, please let me know the ticket reference.

We really need system specifications and as many details as possible to try and reproduce this.

Many thanks

We’re really sorry for the delay on this. I know how frustrating it is that it’s not working, as I want to use it too.
I can’t give a date, all I can say is that we have multiple people working on this and it’s being treated as a priority internally.

I’m afraid EVE has never supported Direct X 10, so support wasn’t dropped for it at the same time as DirectX 9. Direct X 11 (Feature level 11_0) is currently the only Direct X level we support on Windows.

Hi @Lan_Aurilien
I’m sorry for the issues you’re experiencing.

Could you provide me with your ticket numbers / EVE Bug Report information?

We are aware that some users are experiencing a ‘mouse lag’ issue, where the cursor appears to jump around the screen. We have been unable to replicate this internally, but we have seen videos of the issue from players. I assure you we are investigating it, but without a reproduction, we can’t find out the root cause and fix :frowning:

I’m also interested in the stability issues you’re experiencing. An EBR with system information and any steps you have taken for the crash to happen would be very useful for us to inves...

Hi

It is most likely that the GPU doesn’t support DX11 (feature level 11_0). You can check this by using GPU-Z and checking the value highlighted below:

It must be a minimum of DirectX 11 (11_0). If this is the case, the ...

The macOS client is a universal binary that has both native Intel and native M1 support. The game does not run through Rosetta2 and has not since launch. We did use Rosetta2 during some of the first playtests however, which is what may have caused some confusion.

The launcher still requires Rosetta2 however.

Thank you.
A fix should be live on Singularity now, so if you’d like to give it a shot and give us any feedback, just select Singularity in the bottom right of your launcher and let us know

It should make its way into the next monthly release.

Thank you both for the feedback :grinning: Glad it’s working the way we intended.
We’ll try to get it out in this monthly release.

@Caffeine_Coma - We’ve not been able to replicate the mouse issue you’re having. Do you have an EBR number (Eve Bug Report)? If not, please create one and include as many details as possible (your mouse, OS, hardware etc…) and we’ll see if we can reproduce it

I’m afraid we don’t have a date for the Personal Skill Plans, but it’s being worked on as we speak.
