That would be great yes but the issue seems to be more complicated than what we would like it to be so it takes a lot of investigation, finding consistent reproduction cases and debugging. I'm sure we will be sharing details once we know more.
Since you mentioned hit registration: are you guys planning to improve the netcode and the hit registration in the near future?
We are actively discussing netcode within the team and looking at the issues that are seen by players, a good portion of the work to fix issues is to find good reproduction cases that we can "debug", wish takes a lot of time. Besides this we aso have some other things in the pipeline that I cannot discuss.
Pretty sure there's also a hit registration issue. Hit 5 bullets, no damage, no kill, no damage log. Also low ping, stable 60 fps.
Maybe you're right and I got fooled by the bugged log system... Let's see what the update will bring.

There are definitely hit registration issues but what is discussed in this thread is not that :)
Sadly this issue has not been solved and our engineers are still actively investigating the cause. The tentative fix released a while ago obviously hasn't resolved the issue.
In fact, these are only excuses. It's a hit registration problem. It's been proven somewhere in the forum
It's not a hit registration issue, it's a scoring issue (damage log UI) where certain damage events are aggregated more than once or sometimes not counting at all.
Yup just confirmed by Drunkkz in a post above. Needs to be fixed ASAP since many games are joined in progress since people keep leaving. u/DRUNKKZ3 if you needed more captures.

I can’t remember the exact match but judging by the amount of score the squad had, yes I must have just joined the game no longer than 1-2 minutes before.
It does look like it indeed, I have seen some cases that might be related to what we call "late-join" bugs. Will discuss this with the team :)
Curious to get some details on how this happened. Did you recently join that match when it happened? (joined the round in progress)
does the 4.2 update adress the inconsistent damage of the AT (anti tank) mines?
Fixing this required some major changes of some gameplay systems so we decided to give the fix more time to be tested to ensure that we are not introducing new issues by fixing it. As a result, it will not be part of the 4.2 update but will very likely be part of the next major patch (4.4).
I apologize if this is redundant but is the delay to ADS after healing/using gadget bug on the radar for the next update u/partwelsh. I’m surprised I haven’t seen any posts about this. It happens every time. Causes you to die a lot when you normally would t.
I have fixed it not so long ago so it's a matter of time now before it makes it into a patch. Sadly not for 4.2 as /u/PartWelsh pointed out :)

Something I've noticed only now and ignored in the years of running into this bug during BF4, is that in both cases the bugged enemy was in a downed state the moment he joined the server.
In hindsight, the one time I know to have been on the recieving end of this bug back on BF4, I also was in a downed state. I still have the server logs from back then and, sure enough, it turns out that enemy loaded into the game literally 3 seconds after I was killed.

Thanks for sharing this, i agree with your assessment, there seems to be some issues linked to what we call "late-joining" including hit-reg on enemies + issues related to revive icons getting stuck on alive players etc...

Thanks for reporting, i saw another thread about this yesterday and i took a look at it today. This will get fixed in an upcoming patch (probably not the next one since it needs QA to verify everything :))
It’s happening a lot. Bullets don’t register. There are countless videos and my experience. Please, try to get this up to priority!
I have seen a lot of videos with different occurrences of bullets not registering but the reason for it can be very different from case to case. There are a lot of potential reasons outside of the hit detection itself. We are definitely aware of the cases that are posted here though.

Yeah, and then he posts short clips on Twitter, where you can see other players using the chat to tell him to go fix the game before playing it.
So I guess he should both play more of the game, and also less of it.
