Working on it! Sorry for the inconvenience.
Reinstalling is worth a shot I suppose, computers can work in mysterious ways. Otherwise, I think this is something our Tools department will need to solve on our end.
Valve have made some changes on their end with the telemetry provided by us in recent weeks. This has resulted in a promising new update to the Steam beta client, which we hope will roll out to the public release soon (please note, for this to be widely effective it would need to be rolled out to the public as all players will need the same build of Steam to see the benefit).
Whilst we’re hesitant to scream from the rooftops, we do hold hope that this will solve at least some of the issues presented with the networking refactor that happened with the Outcast Engineer release.
Of course, it’s hard for us to confirm until such changes are played on by the masses. We will of course continue to monitor the comments and data we receive, so be sure to share your experiences with us when those changes hit the live environment.
Thank you for letting us know, and don’t worry about the security violation error - this pops up when the Easy Anti-Cheat service has ended abruptly (as it has here).
Thank you for letting us know - we’re looking in to it.
Easy Anti-Cheat have informed me that this looks to be an issue with our launcher! So I’ve raised this with our Tools department.
Unfortunately these investigations can take some time, so I’m happy to contact Steam and request that they issue you a refund (providing Vermintide 2 was originally purchased via Steam) should you not want to wait.
It is bizarre for this issue to persist as long as it has, I presume all DLC are enabled in the Steam library? As for the refund, please add me on Steam and PM me so I can verify that the Steam account belongs to you.
Could you try disabling the In-Game Voice Chat, see if that helps please?
I believe this is a mod-related crash, Loadout Manager to be specific.
Just restart the Steam client a couple of times, the DLC will “relink” correctly and your items will eventually reappear.
If you’d still like to proceed with a refund, let me know and I can sort that out for you.
Thank you for your detailed report, I’ve added this to our database.
The developer handling this has tried chasing up Valve twice now I think. Still waiting, bleh. This issue is not impacting the release schedule for upcoming content.
We are investigating a reported increase of connectivity issues on the PS4/5, similar to the situation on PC. It’s possible this was related to that. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Heheh, I’ll close it for you. I admire how detailed your report was! Beautiful!
No way of doing this reliably that I know of. Sorry!
Thank you @Samoly - we’ll have a look. Do let us know if it reoccurs.
Super. I’ve passed this on.
