The team is wrapping up final polish on 7.3, so you should expect the update to be released within the next couple weeks. We’ll announce the exact date when we can but I just wanted to give you all heads up on a rough timeline.

Hi all, I wanted to chime in here because there are a lot of perceptions on what a community manager is and I’m happy to shed some light on this. Of course, I can’t give out every little detail but I can offer a high level overview. 

First thing I want to address is that the SWTOR community expands outside of these forums. While we do post official communication here, this platform is included in spaces where I interact and gather feedback. Players and their experiences, feedback, and engagement can be found all over the internet. 

Second, not every community manager’s responsibilities will be the same from team to team. There are different types of CMs in the industry and there can be overlap and similarities in responsibilities and also different responsibilities entirely based upon what the role requires and what the CM’s skillsets are.

No intention of derailing the thread, but needed to correct some misinformation around this topic. This has not changed. We are looking at ways for Preferred accounts to engage in the forums, however, nothing has been changed. An update like that would definitely be announced and communicated out. So for the time being, I am confirming that this has not changed, and the team will be investigating this forum bug.

We will be taking down the PTS around 12pm CT today. We will not be bringing PTS back up as the team will be moving forward with finalizing changes and polish. Details on 7.3's release date will be announced at a later time. Thank you for all of your feedback on the 7.3 PTS!

Yes, the team is aware of the bug and it's being investigated.

When exploits are reviewed, there are a number of factors that are taken into consideration which also includes actions taken against the accounts. Having reviewed this specific case, it does not fall under actionable exploit. It will, however, be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Overall, we always encourage players to play the game as intended to avoid potential actions taken against their accounts.

Thanks for the follow ups and the messages. We are still investigating what causes issues for some players to access the game while the system alert is up. 

Regarding the reports where players are seeing a cropped launcher, the team has found that modifying the text size in the control panel should allow you to see the launcher as intended. If the windows text size is configured above 100%, the launcher will appear cropped. The team will be working on a launcher patch this week to fix this setting. In the interim, you can change the text size manually to fix the cropping issue and then access the game.

We are still investigating what is causing the log in issues for our servers. This still remains a high priority for our team to resolve, and we wanted to let you know the next steps we are taking. We will be adding more tools on the backend to improve our reporting and tracking to further our investigation. In order for this to happen, we will be scheduling server downtime for tomorrow. This will impact all servers as we have seen this issue occur with Star Forge, Satele Shan, and most recently Darth Malgus.   

Players should expect a maintenance window on Tuesday, May 16th from 8am CT / 1pm UTC. Estimated down time is 2 hours. Please keep an eye on our social channels/forums for updates should this timeline change.
