Player Owned Ports shouldn't be impacted and restored as expected - at worst there may be data loss going back to February 8, but we've seen good reports so far.

Can you confirm how waves are being given out for the beta? Is it just 1 wave per day or will multiple waves be sent throughout the day? Just to stop me checking my email every hour lol.
Disappointed to hear about the perks, i spent bills on BIS perks due to bad RNG and wont have the money to cover them after 120 herb on dxp, the news just gets better lol
It does vary based on the needs of the team, volume of people who have tested from the current wave and stuff like that - so some days it might be one, others more. Sorry that doesn't help in terms of the clarity you wanted - it's just a pretty fluid thing!
On stream they weren't sure and said they'd look into it and let us know.
Got an answer from the team on this - pets can't be obtained from the activities currently.

That's not the case to be clear. In the Beta state, while this is still a known issue being worked on, we also have some people who haven't lost any perks or had a change in progress as well.
We've had more reports of these situations this morning too.

Right now it's expected that the restoration of accounts - once that call is made - will be a very quick phase. Deployment isn't expected to be a challenge. That said, this is all new territory and techniques so please don't take that as definitive information just yet.
The real time remaining question is the Beta, and this is why we have this phase - not just to find any additional fixes or improvements we can make, but also to see how players feel about the quality of the restoration work at scale.
Like we mentioned yesterday, we've had some promising results so far and we're cautiously optimistic. But there's still a lot of people yet to join the Beta and we want to get this done to the best of our ability, so we'll have to wait and see.
If we have lost all our perks, which means Jagex doesn't have telemetry data for perks, I would fully expect we get dozens of each rare component. Unless you can track everyone's perks, having 1 to 1 care will lead to people lying about their perks to get more free rare comps.
I'm an ironman with biting 4, carooming 4, and other near bis perks that I had to farm myself. Unless you can restore all my perks, the minimum we deserve are free rare comps dozens of each at the very least. Also, some people may have spent billions on theirs, which complicates matters since they may have spent money on hundreds of each rare comps.
This is just where we are at this point in the Beta, where we are still working on solutions to known issues. Nothing is confirmed yet.
As with everything, if anything isn't restored as expected, we will be able to help with our aftercare support if needed. But at this stage, it's too early to say if a resolution to that known issue isn't possible. We're looking into every option and it's a top of mind thing for us to keep working on.
So all perks are gone apparently no matter when you made them???? Oh wow this is a disaster, this 1 to 1 support is going to be a joke how can we remember all the stuff we are missing, my t90 stuff has been perked for years and I for sure donβt remember what perks they were... everyone is just going to lie about whatβs missing so Iβm struggling to see how this is going to end well
Nothing is confirmed as yet. It's a Beta and these are known issues that are being worked on.

I appreciate that Hooli. I got billed 7 days ago. I don't mean to be rude but I don't have faith that my account will be reactivated before the new membership runs out... why can't you add the membership when you reactivate the account? Would be a shame that you resolve the issue and reactivate the account with 2 days left of that bonus compensation membership.
The Membership we've added already is just an interim step to cover the Membership time spent not playing and to make sure more implicated players aren't charged during this time. We're considering a lot of options when it comes to the actual welcome back package and we'll pass this feedback on too!

Read moreI got billed for membership and haven't been able to access my account for over a month. I search my character in runemetrics and it says "player not found" This is beyond a joke. If you ever restore my account Jagex I don't think that I will be returning (even though I spent a heap of money on MTX in prep for double exp and still have over 400 keys sitting there... or don't because apparently my account doesn't "exist"
I'm so damn angry that this hasn't been resolved yet.

Probably had to agree to something that they canβt talk about it yet anything bad would cause more issues for them making people worry and post more bad comments then they already have
There's no agreements, restrictions or NDAs for this Beta. I'm sure you'll hear from Beta participants as the week goes on, especially given the size of the waves invited will increase.
We will talk a little bit about the Beta so far at the start of today's stream though.
Just a heads up, since everyone here has seen this list - we've now fixed the known issue in the Beta for accounts created after 8th Feb, so all their progress should be returned also.

One extra thing I forgot to mention on this as well -
If we can't restore any elements of an account as expected, or your account doesn't look as expected, we'll have that 1-1 aftercare we've promised as a backup in these situations too.
Big oof. Canβt imagine they wanted that getting out to everyone. Was βgoodβ progress for over 2 weeks. This is kinda scary.
There's no restrictions on discussing any parts of the Beta. Given the amount of data points we're working with, some issues are to be expected at the Beta stage and work is still ongoing for many of these known issues.
Hi /u/JagexHooli, I'm curious, will any progress made by Beta accounts be kept (such as if players decided to level a skill once logging into their account) and will all Beta accounts be re-locked once the Beta ends this Friday?
No progress will be saved as the Beta accounts are copies of the Live savegames, not the Live save itself (and we also wanted to make sure Beta attendees didn't get advantages over other impacted players).
All Beta accounts will be re-locked once the Beta completes.
I asked during the livestream but it got swallowed up by spam - out of curiosity (I didn't receive a beta invite, no big deal), are things like quests/tasks things in question too? Or are those some of the easier things to recover? I feel like completing a quest would send a "signal" or something to the telemetry data (if I understand it correctly) so they shouldn't be lost. Is that a correct assumption? Thanks for the continued hard work, Hooli.

Judging by the amount of people that actually posted on Reddit or the Discord server saying they received an invite (zero), don't expect a single message on this. It's almost as if they only selected players that don't come here.
The waves will be pretty frequent and grow in size, so that should change over the next few days.

The more you remember the better for sure, but you won't need to remember every aspect of your account.
If you're invited, we just ask you do your best to go through the account and spot anything that feels out of place (or that everything is as expected!).
