I'm trying to get information on a topic that caught my and others' eyes earlier. Hooli replied on friday that he doesn't know the answer yet, but they are looking on it. I think it's safe to assume that today is good day to ask if there's additional information.

EDIT: altho, my post now centered more around beta access emails, it's been on-going problem during this all this time. This is why players are reporting that they don't get update emails that are supposed to be sent to new players affected of lockout. This is much more bigger than just beta access.

It's something we're still looking at. We're unlikely to have an answer today simply because the full force of work is going on making sure the Beta lands tomorrow (which it will!) but it's something we can likely look into more tomorrow.

We do really care about this - the week the Login Lockout occurred, we were shipping hotfixes to address the crashes every couple of days.

The team are wrapped up in the Login Lockout restoration right now, but this is really high on our list of priorities. Technical resources are beginning to free up and we'll hopefully be able to get back to addressing these pretty soon.

It can't be Jagex's benefit that certain beta testers won't even be notified that they got access to beta just because they have certain email settings.

It's on our radar to look at. The email situation, especially with settings you can't access, is an odd one.

Hopefully we'll have more answers on this in the next couple of days, I just don't have one right now I'm afraid.

But Jagex being Jagex, they rather had the entire team solving the issue and say "f**k you" to the (supposed) 99% of the players who can still access and play the game, just to keep the affected (again, supposed) 1% happy-ish.

We haven't decided we won't be doing that, if that helps.

We just made the call to change course Friday evening on major content updates, and we'll catch up early this week to decide what that balance is.

It's a sign you are potentially going to be invited, though I should mention only a small portion of those who got one will likely get the chance.

We are just trying to make sure anyone who might be selected has an eye on their inbox in case they are invited.

We haven't said we won't do any of that. We just hear the feedback on major content releases and have made the call to postpone Rex Matriarchs.

We'll have better answers next week once we've had a chance to discuss this further.

If you got that email, it essentially means there's a chance you'll be invited to the Beta as it progresses. Not everyone got this.

It's not a guarantee of an invite, but we want to make sure any candidates have an eye on their inbox next week.

It's actually more we didn't know how applying telemetry - which is data logging what you are doing in the game across almost everything you do - would work translated into filling the data gaps we're facing.

Telemetry isn't designed to do this and it's all proprietary theory based work to make it functional account data - which is why we've faced some tough challenges along the way. That's more what Warden was talking about.

Nothings been defined right now, this was just more to let you know we're thinking about Ironman players and what we can / can't do.

  1. They will. We've been looking into those emails still - the team are really focused on a lot of stuff right now but it is on their radar. We'll mention this.
  2. We mentioned this in the post, but we're not expecting to be in a place to return accounts next week to be honest with you. The Beta runs until Friday, at which point we'll have a better picture of where we're at. This is the last hurdle though before returning accounts.

We aren't ready to detail any specifics of what's in the package right now unfortunately as it will be based on the account return date and stuff like that. We've been taking a lot of inspiration from community suggestions though.

That's very much not the case, we're just saying we have to consider the differences in account types in what we do and make sure everyone is taken into account in some way.

We haven't defined what we're doing for sure yet, so if you have any feedback on what you'd like to see on your Ironman, please do let us know and we can pass it on for consideration in the planning.

The issue is only to do with RS3. Sorry to hear you've been in this spot.

Can you drop your RSN to pass along? No promises we can do anything as the account protection is important, but we'd be happy to look into it at least.
