Players can enter the Kharid-et praetorium without a Ring of Visibility.

The original intention when designing the skill was for the core excavation spots (those with artefacts) to be mostly locked behind just Archaeology requirements. The ring of visibility requirement was a slight oversight.

We were happy to place outside requirements on material caches and mysteries, and we plan for future additions to the skill to also include outside requirements.

Ah, that's my bad. Thanks for letting us know!

The forge is only supposed to be a personal instance while you're completing the mystery. After that it'll be a shared instance in which you can see other players too.

However, it sounds like this isn't currently working as expected. I'm going to look into it tomorrow.

Awesome! So will this also allow us to keep the journal itself open to read at all without interrupting our excavation? Or is this just talking about the new material storage?

This is just the material storage information.

This is unintentional and is a bug.

I looked into this earlier today and submitted a fix for it which is now with QA.

So if the materials are going to be viewable from the journal (which will stop actions, and they've already said this won't change due to how books are interfaced), I see no point. I'd rather continue to take a damaged artefact with me to view the material store amount without stopping what I'm doing. This isn't a fix.

If the book is in your pocket you'll be able to open the material storage information interface without interrupting your excavation.

The interface will also stay open while you continue to play.

It is intentional that you are stopped when you discover an artefact.

Prior to this update, if you were to press esc the popup would close and you would continue to excavate. However, this was not the case if you were to press spacebar. The fix that this patch note relates to is that pressing spacebar will now do the same thing.

Yep! This is something I'm looking to sort next week along with a few other tetracompass tweaks, such as updating the headbar to match the core excavation headbar.

This has been fixed and should be live in the next update.

I'm glad you like it! Mod Iago and I tweaked it a couple of times to make sure that it was the ideal position and facing.

This one isn't going to happen, sorry!

The narrative is that you are harnessing the luck element from the ring, not the other effects such as the stats and teleports.

Yep! We've got that one in a list of jobs we're working on.

On the stream we mentioned that we're looking at increasing the number of nodes there are at each of the current locations.

The aim is for there to be at least 3 nodes at every excavation site across the world (where space permits) and 2 nodes within a dig site.

E.g. If the excavation site in Feldip only has 1 'White oak', then we'll look to increase it to 3, and if Kharid-et currently has 1 'Tyrian purple' cache, we'll look to increase this to 2.

The fix for this should hopefully be live next week.

I'm going to look at adding this so it's something like 'Tetracompass piece + 10,000 chronotes'.

Completing any collection will also give a big chronote boost, and some of these are undocumented ingame for some reason. The museum bonuses are accurate, but the other collectors are only showing their unique rewards (robust glass, tetracompass pieces, Kharid-Et batteries) and not the big chronote dump they also give. That extra dump is the part that most people aren't aware of.

I'm going to look at adding this so it's something like 'Tetracompass piece + 10,000 chronotes'.

I've noted this down. We could definitely have the player recite which keys have been used on the door already which should help you know which ones you're missing.
