I’m going to close this topic now as it keeps being flagged and auto closed by the community due to the nature of some of the comments breaking the community guidelines and I think most opinions have been expressed by now.

Just confirming that it wasn’t a Dev who locked the thread… it was the community itself.
One of the upsides of our forum software (Discourse) is that it allows the community to self moderate.

So if something happens while Devs are offline, the community is able to lock threads and hide posts by reporting it.

There is a trust system to protect against the system being abused, if you make false reports your trust score is reduced so that your reports won’t affect anything.

So the forum bot can take action based on community reports and flags and then during business hours a dev can check the reports that were made and check to see if the community guidelines were really broken or not and unhide the posts or unlock the threads.

Community self moderation is our preferred type of moderation, we would prefer to only step in when there’s guidelines being broken badly and community members haven’t moderated it themselves or if we see that the community moder...

It’s still being worked on it’s a significant task.

Our team has 20-25ish people with a few different disciplines, not everyone on the team has the skills needed to work on this issue, and they have other jobs to do, also sometimes it’s best not to have too many people working on the same part of the game otherwise there are clashes in the code etc. which causes more issues and also wastes someone’s time. However, the ones who are working on it - this is a priority for them

Sort of like how you wouldn’t have 4 people making the one coffee...

Update on this:

We’re currently deploying a fix, so that players who have unintentionally been updated to version 6.2 can go back to version 6.1. This means if you’ve been updated to 6.2 on your Amazon Store devices like your fire tablet then you can go back to playing on your other devices that have 6.1 installed.

We have sent a message to make sure version 6.1 gets put back onto the Amazon store. The 6.2 update won’t be playable any more and there will be a message to go back to version 6.1 in the meantime.

You may need to reinstall on your Fire tablet once we have put version 6.1 back on the Amazon Store.

I will most likely have more news about this issue tomorrow morning (as it’s 7pm here now).

Thanks for posting about this. 6.2 hasn’t been finalised yet and shouldn’t have gone live.

I’ve reported it to the team and I’ve given them your invite code @Westlake to see if we can allow your account to be allowed back onto version 6.1 without upsetting your account data (and to see if we can do the same for anyone else who has unintentionally ended up on v6.2 early).

We’re also following up with the team responsible for the game on the stores to see if we can have the correct version put back up.

Hey, we can’t run an extra Vault event, and we couldn’t extend it this time.

We are looking into the slowdown issues as a priority, as we’re all concerned about it.

My other post wasn’t a threat, it was a reminder to follow the community guidelines before things got too out of hand, I genuinely don’t like having to lock threads or shut discussions down but when it gets out of hand it’s a necessity. I’m sorry it came off that way.
