Kingdom Pass Battlecrasher: King Heliodor

Join Shayle, as you explore the mysterious portal of Nexus!

We have a new Kingdom to explore, as well as lots of new troops, which include the Nexus Portal itself, and the Stoneborn ruler, King Heliodor!

Please note that while several Nexus Troops can be seen in the Nexus Storyline, not all of them are currently available. Some of these Troops will be released as part of Weekly Events, or Special Events in the coming weeks. Other Troops are included are part of the Kingdom Pass for Nexus. The list of Nexus Troops available in Chests is below.

New Faction: Duergaroth

Join Finley, as you explore the deep dwarven fortress of Duergaroth!

We have a new Faction to delve, as well as lots of new troops, controlled by Nyar’Mel!

To celebrate the release of this new Faction, we will be running a Faction event over the weekend for Duergaroth.

Returning Raid Boss Troop: Hellcackle

Hellcackle has returned to lead Zaejin during this weekend’s Raid Boss. You can get him from the Event shop during this event.

The first Journey event will happen with the release of the new Kingdom, Nexus.

It’s a week long event, and will run instead of a World Event.

Journey events don’t have a regular schedule at this time, but we are exploring implementing some during Campaigns.

Reference to new Kingdom lore

Unfortunately, we’re still waiting on final approval from Sony, we currently don’t have an ETA for the release date but I’m personally not expecting it to take too long. I’ll post more info as soon as I have it.

EDIT re: Wyrmrun traits - I followed up with the team and these should be fixed, they’re just going through testing at the moment to verify the changes before we push it live (we will most likely not release the fix this week as by the time it’s gone through QA it will be too close to the weekend).

There’s still a problem with the original Wyrmrun trait so it hasn’t been changed back yet. When we have more information we’ll let you know.

The Kingdom Pass is a new event that runs when we release a new Kingdom.

• A Kingdom Pass will run for 5 weeks starting when a new Kingdom releases. Over the 5 weeks, the new Kingdom will have several events that will unlock new content for it such as a New Hero Class, a Faction and a Bounty Troop.
• While the Kingdom Pass is running, players will encounter a Legendary troop from the new Kingdom as a battlecrasher in PvP and Explore. Defeating it will give a Kingdom Crown.
• Kingdom Crowns are used to progress through levels of the Kingdom Pass. Each level needs 5 Kingdom Crowns.
• Each level of the Kingdom Pass gives a free reward. Players can...

I was about to head off for the day but have to answer this because honestly, it does seem like a fun project and actually one of our team members has done this very thing. We have a non-stop Gems of War playing machine. He recently upgraded his setup, I have no idea how many devices he has running our games any more to test, I will see if I can get permission to share a photo of one of his setups (they’re not all located in the same place as we’re all still working from home at the moment).

There is no limit, the chance does drop off sharply each time you defeat The Flesh Horror so it’s less and less likely you will encounter another each time you do so. The Devil is one of our rarer Tarot cards, so the Soul Harvest event is making this Troop much easier to obtain for the overall playerbase than it normally will be (ie. playing Vaults, which need Vault Keys as a cost for entry, while pvp and Explore don’t have a cost of entry).

Kalika is the only Mythic Troop available from Nexus as Nexus is a brand new Kingdom, so it will be the only Mythic Troop available in Nexus Event Chests until a 2nd Mythic is released for Nexus.

No coding was changed for the Event Chests New Mythics since maybe 2018? It has worked that way for a long time, but usually the event week Kingdom and the Kingdom the new Mythic Troop is from are different, which is why we hadn’t encountered this for a long time. If the Kingdom for the New Mythic and the Weekly Kingdom are the same, it will have the new Mythic exclusive in Event Chests as well.

The original post in the Spin me Right Round thread was edited when we saw confusion about AW and the Event Chests, so we edited the blog and the post on the forum so the information would be clarified there for anyone to see at the top rather than having to read the whole thread to see my reply clarifying.

Sorry, we thought this was made clear in Salty’s goodbye post.

Our CX team handles all things front end now, including Community Management.

So instead of one person we have myself, Jeto and OminousGman.

This has enabled us to spend a lot more time in the community, social, forums etc.
You may have noticed an increase of responses to threads in the forum from sometime before Salty left as we transitioned the CX team to this role.

Between the 3 of us we have a lot of experience in support, community and social media.

In the background, now that we have more staff on the team, we’re working on some cool new stuff, like video content and our stream format. The Archproxy Yvendra video is an example of that.

We’re also reviewing our internal reporting etc. to make sure we’re representing players in house as effectively as we can.
