If it’s degraded you can keep playing if you like (although I know lag is annoying!). Most times it shouldn’t cause you to lose anything, if it lags out or has a never ending loading screen at the end of a battle, you can wait until it resolves to get your rewards.

If you have any concerns about the lag affecting your rewards though I would advise against playing Delves or Guild War battles for example where there’s limited battles.

Opening chests while there’s lag is completely safe.

The status page will only give information such as if the game server status is green, degraded or down.

I’ll ask the team about the lag, it may be that our logging isn’t set very sensitively for degraded performance.

5.6.1 Hot Fix is releasing today for Nintendo Switch

We have resolved the following issues in this hot fix:

  • Skulls deal double damage on faster animation speed
  • Banner counter was not including all Kingdoms and Factions owned

Hey,

This can mean there’s game server performance issues on our end (however we have no server issues reported by any of our game servers for the past 4 days at the time of writing.)

If you want to be sure we have a server status page here which will show if our servers are running, degraded or down: Status – Gems of War

If our status page is all green, it means the problem isn’t on the game servers but somewhere else in the connection between your device and the servers.

If your home internet is working fine for everything except Gems of War, then it will be an issue somewhere in the connection between us. These issues are usually fixed quite quickly by whichever party has ownership of the problem.

Hey folks,

Just a note that an edit was made to the blog after it was published, so I’m just highlighting the change for anyone who read the blog before the change was made:

Known Issue:

There is a known display issue where the boost displayed for Burrow Warden appears higher than normal. This is due to the boost and attack being stolen and incorrectly being totalled together. As mentioned this is a display issue only – the spell is working correctly.

Did you press circle before collecting the mythic boss chest?

Thanks for all the additional information everyone. We’ve re-assigned this bug to a dev who hasn’t looked into it before so hopefully the fresh pair of eyes will help. They’re testing on Xbox today so I’ll pass all this information along.

Both types of transform should still count as far as I’m aware. We’ve got a team member checking battle logs and testing this at the moment so we can see what’s happening.

Hey,

I checked our server status logs for the day these posts were made and there were no server status logs for Gems of War on the 27th. I checked PSN as well just in case, they had down time the day after these posts were made.

If your internet was otherwise working ok there may have been a minor problem in the connection between your consoles and our game servers, these are usually fixed up quickly by the party responsible so hopefully you weren’t locked out of the game for too long.

I’ve been having crazy internet issues myself thanks to the rain 2 days ago, so I feel the frustration!!

Hopefully the game is playing smoother for you now! If not just let me know.

  1. Search for Gems of War in the Amazon Store to see if it will let you update the game from our store page

We upload every change to our test servers for testing before making changes live. Every version is also uploaded to the community beta along with patch notes.

We have reproduced the issue in house, the whole team is working on this right now so we can get it fixed as soon as possible.

Prior to today this wasn’t an issue anyone was aware of, or we would have delayed the update/ensured it was fixed prior to releasing the update live due to it being an issue with core gameplay.

We do testing of the core gameplay for each update to ensure something like this doesn’t happen. We also opened the beta earlier than usual and asked the beta testers to pay particular attention to the core gameplay on the gemboard, no one picked it up either from external, internal QA or the beta test.

We do our best prior to releasing updates but having an update live with a large number of active players does tend to make issues more noticable just due to the number of users.

I’ve updated the original bug report internally and brought it to a producer’s attention.

It’s a strange bug, hopefully with the updated bug report we can get some more traction on investigating what is causing it and fixing it.

Hey, I will look into this. This involves me looking through all your battle data to manually confirm the data was (in)correct, which is why I’ve marked the thread as investigating. I’ll follow up once this is done.

Hi everyone, I’m sorry for the delayed reply about these issues. Melbourne has been back in lockdown these past 2 weeks and in addition, at least half the team has been sick with the flu and our office was nearby a covid exposure site so a bunch of us had to go and get tested for covid (all the tests came back negative) :slight_smile: so while I know our communication in this covid world should be sorted out by now after over a year of this, there were extra factors which made some of the communication internally difficult this time. I’m not mentioning this as an excuse, I’m just mentioning it to shed some light on why some of this occurred the way it did.

I’ve spoken to the team to seek further clarification about the chat title issue with the Pridelands/Urskaya event week:
