Couple of reasons:

  • 1PM PST is when all of our content team is ready to go, and we have people standing by ready to fix issues if they arise.
  • It's off-peak for a lot of our different regions, which reduces the odds of different League services behaving badly when we activate content.

If you only consider the prestige skin for your math and not the other rewards too, you still end up punishing who grinds more. They just added 60 points to the missions without addressing the per-match gains.

This problem needs a more holistic overhaul (something that Meddler alluded to in the article) that we are aiming to ship this year.

To confirm this line of thinking, yes - agency is very important to our pass system for League because of how thinly sliced some content can be (e.g. - a chroma for a skin for a champ is ultimately addressing a relatively small audience, and ensuring you have the ability to choose is important). Naturally, when you have to make a choice, that implies giving something else up, and if you want to choose something that is intended to be difficult to get (e.g. - Prestige), then you have to forego a lot of other things until you get there. We introduced Milestone Missions for exactly this reason: to make you feel rewarded along the way to your journey, but it still isn't good enough (for a variety of reasons).

The good news is, we think we have a solve for this, and the improvements to the experience that Jon (Bellissimoh) was referring to in the State of Skins video are under development right now. We'll be talking more about what that looks like soon, and will also have an upd...

Hi - you have obtained the Mastery Emote Upgrade, are playing in an Eternals-supported queue (ARAM, SR, NOT customs) and have the Mastery Emote unlocked for the champion you're playing on and are still not seeing it?

Great call out, you're right!

Context as to why this probably happened: As part of our client cleanup program, the champion collection page was one of the first things to get a ton of behind-the-scenes fixes and ember applications destroyed (the stuff that causes client slowdown). This was probably something that we missed in the process, but now that tab should be buttery smooth!

Hi! There's a bug with this that we're aiming to fix either this coming Monday or with the 10.6 patch. Your progress is still being captured and you won't need to do anything when the fix goes live!

This is a visual bug that we're working on right now, and will have a fix for in 10.6. Your stats are tracking accurately, but the client has mismatched data from the game (we validate on both ends to make sure people can't game it).
