Welcome to Epoch traveler, I’m glad you’re enjoying your time here :smile:

I’m sorry to say that we don’t have any detailed info on when multiplayer will be available to beta players. It’s something that we work on every day and it’s our number one priority. If you check out our development forecast we are in Phase 2 right now and multiplayer is in Phase 3. I know that just brings up the question, “when is Phase 3?” and it’s the same answer, sorry, got nothing.

I can say that it is progressing. I know that means very little but it’s not just sitting at a road block or something so good news?

One thing that we’ve talked about before is select gear being class specific. This isn’t a prelude to everything being class specific at all, just certain pieces. So this might mean that you have to master into spellblade before you can use a certain chest piece or something. (Intentionally vague, sorry)

I’m really interested in what people think on this topic. It’s something that comes up in discussions for us and hearing how the community feels about it would be great!

It is a very delicate balancing act and we have been working very hard to make the passive bonuses, generic enough that it doesn’t force a very narrow playstyle while still being mastery thematic, powerful and exciting. These passive bonuses will change a lot before (and probably after) release as a major balancing point. I’m quite happy with the Sorcerer and Spellblade ones right now. Some of the other classes have been a lot trickier to nail down.

Also @Neyhoum you’re very much on the right track with which skills will be given in this system.

We aren’t planning a total character wipe. We haven’t nailed down exactly how this will affect existing characters.

Selecting a mastery class in Last Epoch is a big decision for your character. It defines several of your available skills, passives and items. Until now, the process by which you select your mastery class is simply pressing the ascend button once you reach enough of an investment in that mastery’s passive tree. The current implementation has a couple of issues including happening later in the campaign than we’d like it to, not feeling very impactful, and making players feel like they’ve made a mistake by not fully investing in a single passive tree to push up to the Mastery class unlock early on.

In order to fix these issues and make selecting a mastery feel more like a character-defining moment, we have some changes coming.
 

 1. You will be able to select your mastery class when you complete a quest that you will receive when you first arrive at the End of Time.

If the launcher isn’t working, you can also go through steam. Even if you bought it on the website, you can link a steam account and use the instead if you want.

A memory error like that is unfortunately the equivalent of error because error so we don’t have enough info to go on yet.

If steam doesn’t work for you, we can try some troubleshooting.
What’s your system specs? Are you fully extracting the launcher and running it from the folder and not from inside the zip?

This was a consideration when we made the change. It is something that we’re going to test and change still. We are planning several changes to the minion agro systems.

We will continue to tweek the numbers on it but I’ve just made the storm totems less of agro magnets than the other totems and pets.

We can set individual agro modifiers for each different totem. I think we’ll look at making storm totem less agro happy than the others.

Yea, we didn’t like the skill as it’s own thing so we split it up to still be available but it doesn’t take up a full skill slot any more. I know we’ve been saying it forever but we do plan on giving some mage skills a similar treatment.

The problems with shock are being treated. It was a pretty deep rabbit hole for us because the solution affects a lot of other systems too. Don’t worry, shock will be awesome.

(Once the fix gets implemented) If you level up that character again, it will appear on the level ladder. If it’s a dead HC character, no.
