Beside the obvious sleep breaks, I think this is a good opportunity to share a bit more about my role on the team! While I am the Lost Ark Community Manager, a lot of the work that I’m currently doing is internal, whether that’s engaging in meetings and discussions, sharing and reporting on feedback, helping write or work on patch notes, communications, etc, etc. While the public part of my job is engaging with players across channels, I do a ton of engaging across teams internally as well (whether that’s with production, SGR, product, whoever).

With how much work the teams have been putting in since launch, a ton of my time is currently focused internally, which means sometimes I’m not around on the Forums or in player channels as much as I’d always like to be. But the intention is never to ignore players – you’ll be seeing Shadow_Fox and Seawolf in here as well, as they’re working hard (in addition to all of their other projects!!) to help make sure players know they are he...

Hey everyone — first off, thank you for your patience as we sorted this out. The team has investigated this situation thoroughly, and I want to provide an update and some context for everyone.

There were a number of accounts suspended in this timeframe as a result of one of our speed hack detection programs. While almost all of these bans hit real speed hackers, it appears that the program did flag some lag/connection issues as speed hacks, which lead to a small number of player being banned as false positives.

Involved accounts should now be unsuspended, and if you were caught in this ban wave, we want you to know that there will be no strike against your account, and no repercussions. We apologize for any stress or confusion this may have caused, and we are working hard to shore up our cheating detection tools to both crack down on bots and prevent situations like this from happening in the future.

Not at all – this comment chain was directly responding to the topic of the content roadmap for the game, not ongoing issues/feedback surrounding honing.

This was announced ahead of launch during Gold River’s Crown Channel interview, so it was something that was already in the works because unique T3 content truly is a highlight of the game. I think very quickly became clear that this was way too soon, which is why the game’s roadmap is now being adjusted.

Class release schedule is part of the Content Roadmap, which is currently being reworked. I do not yet know if there will be changes, because unfortunately I can’t have an announcement to share about something that is not yet locked in.

I can’t speak to a far out future, but right now this is not something that is on the table.

Please re-read my above message: “I know this will not be every individual’s specific case.”

I have stated the exact opposite of claiming that all players in this thread have done this. However, this is part of what CS investigations have revealed surrounding some of the incoming bans, so I want to provide an update and warn players who may not know away from doing this.

This feedback is definitely being collected and shared with our partners, and there are active discussions happening about all of the feedback being received… I understand the desire for quicker action, but takes time to make sure we have a path forward that we are ready to share with players

We are still investigating this, but we have found that a number of the recent bans that happened around this time are tied to players buying keys from third party sites and sellers. I know this will not be every individual’s specific case, but I do want to call out for anyone who may not know that buying Lost Ark keys should only ever be done directly through Amazon or Steam – many keys that are sold/purchased through third party sites are fraudulent, and these kinds of sellers are not official or approved on our end, so it is not worth taking the risk wind up involved in fraud.

This build of the game does not have all of the content that Korea and has some amount of variation, and is 1 month in vs several years in. There are also lots of differences around how players in the West play vs how players in Korea might play which need to be taken into account for the health and longevity of the game. It is not as black and white as players make it out to be, and we are working through this with SGR to find the best path forward.

I hate this just as much as you all do. We are working on improving our anti-cheat and anti-spam tools across the board right now, but it is taking more time than we’d like it to, as is evident by the fact that this is still happening.

While it by no means solves the issue, in the meantime a workaround that might help a bit is creating a customized chat tab to use. You can click the “+” icon in the chat box and select the chat types you want to include or exclude (cough like area chat cough).

Yup, confirming that we are aware and will get this fixed. Sorry that the first fix didn’t go through quite right!!

Appreciate all of the reports – we are looking into this with the Customer Support team to see what is going on and if there are any updates I can provide.

In the meantime, for those who haven’t, please submit a ban appeal with a ticket through our Customer Support site: Appeal a ban - Support | Amazon Games I know this process is often frustrating, but it is important to file a ticket to have on record, and please keep in mind that because I am not a member of the CS team and do not have support tools at my disposal, I cannot individually look into player accounts, information, or change the status of...
