The Vern (South America) and Moonkeep (Europe West) servers will be coming down for a quick restart at 5:20 PM PT to help resolve player connection issues. Servers are expected to remain down for less than 1 hour, and we will let players know when they are back open and ready for play.

There are no issues with the South America servers on our end – if you haven’t, please try restarting Steam completely by logging out and logging back in.

I am not sure how it was determined that matchmaking is not going to be addressed; please review the matchmaking section in the article you linked.
Matchmaking Issues
While we’ve put some changes in place to help improve the unstable matchmaking that occurs in Europe Central region, it’s clear that these efforts have not been impactful enough to make a major difference. The team is still working on a long-term fix for this problem, and want players to know that it is a top priority for the team. We’ve identified a possible fix that it is currently in testing, and we will share an ETA as soon as possible.

Okay, have verified this issue is outstanding on the NA West, NA East, and SA regions. We will be fixing this in the next update/maintenance, including retroactively fixing the rewards for folks that already redeemed them
While there are other CMs, some of them have a different variety of responsibilities to focus on! I, however, am dedicated to the Lost Ark community, so I’ll always be a familiar face here and around to help. (Of course, my whole job isn’t only being on the forums, so I’m not always always online here.)

Sure, I didn’t expect the living beings comment to be taken literally by any means – just a quirky remark to emphasize that live service games change quickly and always will.
While I understand that “we’re working on it” can be frustrating without an ETA, we want to be as active as possible on providing updates. When an issue starts getting worked on, we don’t always immediately have an ETA; depending on how complex the problem is and what steps need to be taken to fix it, sometimes the team needs to dig in a bit and start taking those steps before knowing exactly how long it is to the finish line. In these cases, we’d rather let players know that we know and are making progress, or that a change is coming as soon as possible to keep players in the loop instead of just waiting and withholding that limited information. And when we get those ETAs or details, so will you.
