Tell me if you had any success.
If you got the same issue, please provide us with the same information, so we can figure out what's wrong here :)
perhaps some specific world seeds have very little ore or maybe it failed to spawn in most areas.. On every server ive been to there hasnt been any issues..
Has anyone else on the server found iron ore in the desert part?(it can spawn in other biomes, but desert is supposed to be superrich)
You should ask the admin to help dig a little to look for it. it really should not be hard to find iron ore in the desert.. 20-30 blocks down from the surface there should be a 4-5 high belt going almost through the entire desert area..
We haven't gotten a single world reported yet where there was no or too little ore, from all the reports. It's indeed just finding it.
No one else has the ping issue, and considering I live in the northern eu that shouldnt cause issues for me
It would, as you go from your place to the relay server, back to the original server. Other options are your ISP choosing weird routes to that server, in any case it's a networking issue.
That's likely due to incorrect network settings of your host, then Eco tries to connect you to the host via a relay server which is in northern EU. Make sure your host has configured network correctly and forwarded ports.
Unfortunately, you cannot remove these levels, the only option is to restore a backup before you used these commands, backups by default are created every half an hour and stored in the /Steam/steamapps/common/Eco/Eco_Data/Server/Storage/Backups directory if you play on Steam.
Yes. The Steam version just handles the accounts with Steam IDs rather than the SLG ID. Steam and SLG accounts play on the same servers.
This is correct.
I think boats should be the priority
They are, trains are not even in the works and likely won't be at least until we leave EA. As far as planes go we have absolutely not even plans for that right now.

Can anyone tell me if this will actually work correctly?
As far as I know, yes you can set the time period on the meteor and it should work as intended. You should also be able to disable it entirely if you like.
how do the servers work
If you host the server yourself;
It'll run in the background as long as you leave the server executable running. You don't have to be online yourself, but your computer must have internet access & have the EcoServer.exe running. This option is "free", only costing you electricity and the time to set up the network appropriately. This is completely viable for a small server if you're technically inclined enough to set it up.Alternatively; You can rent a hosted server from a server provider (just google eco game server hosting). The cost on this option will vary depending on the host and how many player slots you want.
leaving early access this year
That ...
I doubt that goal can be held after corona hit us as well and we had a full restructuring internally, but we have not yet set any new date, so there is not much I could say to that.
It is nigh-to-impossible to chop all the trees down or kill all the animals.
Firstly, there are too many of those to be taken out by one person in time before more trees grow and more of the animals spawn.
Secondly, you cannot chop anything that is on a claim of another person (unless that person gives you authorization).
Thirdly, you can kick/ban anyone you don't want to be on your server.
And most important, and fourthly: You can make laws against that in the game mechanics.
Sorry new to this, What is Dev Tier and how can I acquire it?
Dev-Tier is our backer package that grants people access to the source code, which you can buy on our website.
