Quality of Life Update 1
This upcoming patch will be the first large update to Wayfinder since the Echoes Update. While this update will have no new playable content (that’s coming with 1.0, so stay tuned!), we wanted to share what players can expect from our first “polish pass” as we work towards console release followed by leaving Early Access later this year.
Server Browser

Playing on High and Ultra mixed at 85% resolution scale.
Granted I have a middle-age rig, I see the game is running pretty smooth (between 70 and 100 fps) most of the time. And there is no overheat from my components, so no hardware throttle at all when I play.
What is weird is that some areas will framedrop at times, and not at other times at the very same spot.

Played about 2 hours on my deck but wasn’t big battles. Ran absolutely flawlessly out the box and the controller support is great.
I haven’t seen it yet but feel comparing it to no limits and you’ll be disappointed bc that sh*t floored me.
The internet/ Reddit is such a great place. 2 year old thread and here I am having the same issue. Enabling that CSM then restarting did the trick. Haha thanks!

Not every show. The Mohegan sun show had “technical issues” but imho it was bc the crowd was awful and dead.
You know pre loads arent new on steam? An they have a "preload" button instead of "play" button they used?
I didn't say Steam didn't support preload, but Nexon clearly wanted the unencrypt the files beforehand and be able to push updates as needed leading up to launch which this allows them to do. Pre-loading is mostly used when a retail CD key exists, which doesn't in this case.

No very simply the game "released" in the eyes of Steam because they released a package for you to download. That triggers the email.
So this was to pre-download the game and have it ready for Tuesday. All they have to do is flip a switch on the servers to allow people to play.
Yeah I'm not freezing like that anymore. I am getting lower fps in dungeons than my girlfriend who has a waaay worse setup. She's rocking an i3 and a 1650s with better performance oddly enough.
But the game is playable now. :)
I would recommend taking a look at your bios. A lot of people I’ve reported the same thing with higher and gear, but needing bios update that helped.
We pushed an update today for some optimizations, give it a whirl and let us know how it's running now.
For this kind of issue, a dev in the Discord recommended trying the following command in Wayfinder's Steam "Launch Options":
-ExecCmds="r.MaxCharacterRenderSize=0"
This command no longer does anything because we fixed the problem under the hood.
Ugh. Reading this is making me reconsider flying to a city to see them since they’re not gonna be around me.

Thanks! I hadn't seen any official communication regarding this before now. Would it be possible to consider creating a pinned post to make finding known bugs and future content easier to find? Something that can be updated regularly.
We have this in discord. It’s really hard to maintain in multiple places, but that’s the best place for all the known issues, currently tracked bugs, and direct dev insight.
They didn't mention anything about rewards being affected by difficulty in the recent AMA so we shouldn't get our hopes up.
We have mentioned it numerous times before the AMA.
The reason is related to co-op play and how that’s handled since you can adjust on the fly as well as an underlining lack of tech that we have for pulling this off at the moment. We’ve heard the feedback and we’re definitely thinking about how we can change when we release.
