I expected as much.

However as the game sends your new records to our servers using an API and then retrieves records using an API to display them in the in-game ladder, the same members of our staff would be working on investigating this and fixing it. I apologize if it seems weird or pedantic, but it honestly does help us to have it here. I do appreciate you checking, though!

Next week we’ll be discussing ways of improving the reliability of saves.

What I’d say at the moment is that ensuring that the game client is able to close down normally helps, as otherwise it can cease running while actively writing to save data, which is bad.

I’m going to move this thread to #bug-reports:website-bug-reports.

You definitely didn’t put it in the ‘wrong’ place, but this would help us a bit internally. Hope you don’t mind. Anything related to the website or API being there is convenient for us.

Sorry to hear about this!

At release Last Epoch will support both online-only, server-side characters and offline-only, locally stored characters. The former are coming during Phase 3 of our Early Access Forecast.

Great to hear that! Thanks for taking the time to update the thread.

We’re working to improve chat reliability in future patches.

I’ve just fixed this for you now. Sorry about that!

We’re aware of the underlying cause of this being shown erroneously to some users, but we haven’t yet had the opportunity to implement a proper solution. We shouldn’t be far off now. We’re able to fix it on a per-account basis currently, so you’re good to go.

Ah, I did indeed - sorry for the typo.

Hrm, I’ve been intermittently chatting with people in-game, so it’s definitely not a global problem. I’ll pass it on and see if anyone on the team has any ideas regarding this.

Could you try restarting the client and then check whether chat works?

This will be fixed in Patch 0.7.7e.

Hey there,

The next time this happens, could you please post a log file and a screenshot of your Fireball tree? (https://support.lastepochgame.com/article/39-the-games-log-file)

Thanks!

I’ve identified the issue. This account isn’t currently associated with a purchase of Last Epoch.

Could I ask;

  • Did you buy the game through Steam or through our website?
  • Did you install the game through Steam or from an alternative source?

If you haven’t already performed Steam Account Linking, that should be all you need to do. If you have, it may be worth trying again using a browser with no addons installed.

This technical limitation is on our radar, but I can’t offer an ETA for when it will be addressed.

Heyo!

There aren’t any specific driver versions we recommend at the present time - though that said, I would advise that people avoid 442.74. Anyone using that driver version would probably benefit substantially from upgrading to 445.75 as performance seems better across the board.

Generally we would advise that ‘using the latest version is good’. That said, I don’t think any member of our team would deal with the hassle of changing driver versions for different games, so if you have a good reason for sticking (hopefully temporarily) with a specific driver, that’s totally fine. We’d never ask people to do something we wouldn’t do ourselves.

Hey Travelers!

In Patch 0.7.7 we implemented a large number of new unique and set items. We noted in the patch notes that two of these had temporary art which we would be replacing in the future.

While this art wasn’t ready to be included in ...
