The merges are currently taking place and the server teams are monitoring closely. We don’t currently have a locked down timeframe for completion of all of the merger tasks, but once we do I will post a new update with that timing

Shortly after this announcement went live, the team found a config that they will need to adjust, adding a slight delay to the mergers.

We know a lot of folks want to know specifics about the merges that were talked about in the Free Weekend article. When we have information to share about the merge plan after Free Weekend we will certainly be doing so!

Free players can join any server that is currently open for character creation. The Free Weekend Servers are special and will be merged into existing servers after the event is over.

Moving forward, if you believe that you are missing rewards that are guaranteed (remember, the Smelting gear is a low-drop chance item from these crates) please include the following with your reports:

• your in game name
• which server you are playing on
• when you were opening the crates (i.e. what time and time zone)
• where you were when you were opening the crates
• a video showing you opening the crates and not receiving your guaranteed items

Hey everyone!

On March 1st we disabled the ability to open Smelting Aptitude Reward Chests as we saw a large number of reports of the chests not providing the correct rewards upon opening. Our game team has thoroughly investigated these reports and here are their findings:

• They have investigated many users from here on the forums reporting incorrect rewards. Our server telemetry shows that items from these reward chests have indeed been received by the players in question, with some instances showing that the items were sold via the Trading Post mere minutes after the chest was opened
• We saw some confusion around the Smelter Gear that comes from these reward chests. This gear is not a guaranteed drop but rather a random low-drop-chance from these chests. We did see the items dropping correctly prior to our disabling the ability to open these chests.

Our team is working to address the root cause of the duplication issue. When we know more about the release timing for that fix as well as when we can reactivate wealth transfer, we will be sure to let you know!

We are also in the process of suspending or banning players who engaged in the use of this exploit, depending on the severity of use, and removing all items they posted in the trading post to further minimize the impact of this bug on world economies.

This is not a pleasant experience for anyone. Exploits suck. We are continuing our efforts toward strengthening test procedures and planning, and invite you all to our current Public Test Realm (PTR) to help us break that build before it goes live.

We have seen multiple reports of issues with tuning orbs not having the correct cooldown after our February Update. The dev team has identified the issue and are working to correct it.

We are aware of multiple issues continuing to be reported over the weekend and are working day and night with Smilegate RPG to get them addressed.

Europe Queues

We know that players are still experiencing long queues in Europe. The Europe Central region is at capacity and unfortunately there is no way to increase the number of players per world in Europe Central. Adding more servers is not possible based on the complexity of all the systems that need to work together.

Due to not being able to continue expanding Europe Central capacity, we quickly spun up Europe West. This is an appealing option for new players or for players who have not significantly progressed on Europe Central. We also provided a second variation of the Founders Packs to all users who purchased them in order to make switching servers more viable.
