Thank you both for bringing this issue with the Master Hunter trophy not unlocking properly to our attention, and apologies for the wait. Please provide a short video clip showing that you both have met the criteria for this trophy, yet do not have any credit towards it.

@lucaslb222 Hello, and apologies for the troubles caused by this issue with 'A Dead Man's Tale' not completing properly. Is it possible to load up a previous save from not too long ago, then see if you're able to complete this World Event once more without issue?

Hello everyone, and apologies for the lateness of my reply here. For those of you that are still unable to escort Tarben back to the settlement due to him jumping in and out of the Longship, please give the following workarounds a try that were suggested by players on this thread:

  • Go back to Ravensthorpe, untrack and track the 'Man of Mystery' quest, speak with Tarben again in Ravensthorpe. (Xingent)
  • Go across the river and begin killing people (matty00192)
  • Hit Tarben's horse that's next to his house (XboxOffyesse)
  • Untrack the quest, head to Norway, return to England, and track the quest again (bakgreenbay)


Many thanks to all of you that shared these workarounds!

Should the issue persist after, please provide a YouTube link showing the issue fully. I'll be happy to forward this to the development team for further evaluation once received.

@guidh15 Thank you for updating this thread! I've let the investigating teams know that you likely used a hack and slash method to kill the enemy, since they were interested to know this. If you can recall of any additional steps you took to 'complete' the world quest, please let me know!

Please update this thread if the audio error persists after ensuring this World Event has been completed, so I can notify the appropriate teams.
