It is weird for them to post the extension two hours prior to the estimated 10am deadline -- I assume they expect the servers to be down well past 10am EST? Hopeful they will be kind enough to give us some info... will it be 11am? Noon? 3pm? 6pm?



If it looks like maintenance will go past 10am EST, we'll post a thread and let everyone know. As of this time, we don't currently have an ETA for completion but should have more information soon.

The Elder Scrolls Online v6.2.4 is the final PTS patch before Markarth launches for PC on November 2. We’ve activated a new event for testing this week – the Tribunal Celebration – and have several more fixes for Vateshran Hollow, Markarth quests, Item Set Collection, and more. There is no character copy for this patch, which is approximately 222MB in size. Thanks for all your feedback during this testing cycle!

We enabled the next test about an hour ago, which will run until October 26. Currently, all AoE abilities have a shared global 3 second cooldown with group sizes being limited to 12 in Cyrodiil, and any ally-targeted ability will only apply to group members.

As we approach the end of our scheduled tests, we’ve determined that we’d like to run at least two more tests to gather additional data, which are outlined below. Our goal here is to see how a combination of changes from previous tests affect the performance, as we’ve found they have not had a significant impact individually.

FYI: Just corrected a typo in the post. Originally one of the bullet points stated the global cooldown test brought server FPS in high-intensity situations down almost 45% - this should've said 25%, and has been corrected in the original post.



Pretty sure that should say "ping" or "latency" instead of FPS. FPS makes no sense in that context and you don't measure FPS in milliseconds.



In this case, we're using FPS to refer to server frames.

Additionally, you’ll find several fixes and adjustments to combat abilities and item sets, along with fixes for housing, various UI elements, and more. The size of this patch is approximately 470MB.

Earlier today, we enabled our final scheduled test. From now until October 19, group size is limited to 12 in Cyrodiil. If a group contains 6 or more players, everyone’s AoE abilities will go on individual cooldowns and have escalating cost similar to the tests above. We'll let you know when we have a plan in place moving forward once this test concludes.

The Elder Scrolls Online v6.1.8 has some improvements to an issue with pets attacking innocents, in addition to fixes for some game crashes and an issue specific to Stadia. The size of this patch is approximately 75MB.

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts and feedback about this change. We’ve been reading your feedback since this change went onto the PTS, and we understand the concerns you’ve presented here. Ultimately, this swap happened so Stamina builds have access to a heal earlier in the leveling experience. While we recognize being able to have Rapids as the first skill to use on other characters is convenient, Vigor is considered a must-have for Stamina build survivability, so giving access to the heal earlier is a major quality of life improvement for those players. We are happy with how this change is performing and have no current plans to revert it.

The Elder Scrolls Online v2.09 fixes several game crashes and a number of gameplay-related bugs, including situations where your mount’s stamina would drain irregularly fast and the inability to progress the Vampire skill line. We’ve also fixed an issue with custom UI not scaling properly, among a few other bug fixes. The size of this patch is approximately 376.2MB.
