Would be absolute fire and something we want to do in the future - lots of work to get there, but totally agree that the ideal viewing experience would be in-game in Sanctuary.

For now, we're just grateful that PS2 community streamers from around the world stepped up to bring you coverage from every server. Nobody was expecting a situation where we wouldn't have studio access, so a lot of our broadcast plans had to be reworked on the fly. Throw them a kind word and a follow, they're doing a great job with new tools in a new competition on short notice :)

Right now the /voice diagnostics and /voice fix seems like the commands do nothing. With very little logging or visual output of voice connection status, there isn't much to empower us to give you any more detailed reports...we can't give you information you keep away from us.

There should be additional slash command to reset voice comms, and re-establish the connection. There should also be a slash command that allows us to verify the connection is working, and we the channels are properly connected.

Help us Help you, give us the tools to work with.

It’s a good suggestion. I won’t speak for the programmers, but new diagnostics are going into almost every major patch right now. This is certainly high-priority.

In-progress alerts are the time of the crash will be lost. But new alerts should still kick off.

Haven’t seen that (yet) but will look into it now.

you want to clarify what you mean by game crash vs server crash?

are you saying that the server application crashed but the server (or server instance) didn't?

Yes, that’s the initial indication. Network activity looks fine. Continuing to investigate a cause - we have improvements/fixes being readied for our next update (with the content that’s on PTS now). Aiming to get that out next week.

I saw that the server was down for at least 10minutes. After my outfitmates and I got kicked (after pulling a bastion 15min previous), I stayed in the login screen until I saw Emerald was available again. And it was at least 10min.

Yea, it takes a few minutes to restart. It was restarted immediately though. Still looking into it, just wanted to let people know it doesn’t appear to be a server issue.

This was a very rare game world crash, per the initial investigation. Nothing in logs or network activity to indicate a server issue.

A very rare game (client) crash, as far as we're able to initially tell. Game was immediately started back up, and we didn't see anything in the logs or in network activity to indicate a server issue.

this: I should’ve been more clear. The ability to pull vehicles from a fixed resource bank is fixed. Competing players will just use Cortium from their command center, not nanites.

It would be nice if RPG could post links to such official feedback threads so that it doesn't take two weeks until a random Redditor to stumbles upon it though.

Would that be possible /u/jgolenbo?

Hey, yea absolutely - this has been a really tricky issue since we see reports of voice comms problems and we know it’s happening sporadically (it happens to us too) but we haven’t as yet been able to reproduce the exact conditions in order for us to identify the root cause..

tl;dr it may be any number of things (or a combination of things) but until we can confidently identify what they are we can’t be certain anything we’re trying will be a permanent fix, or solve part of the problem, or make something else worse.

Not a lot to go on, I know, but we haven’t been intentionally “silent” on the issue, we just don’t (yet) have anything new to say beyond that our programming team is continuing to work to identify the cause.
