I believe we should have that issue resolved now.

Any idea if the game we were in would be coded as a win or loss?

assuming you were on NA, most likely that everyone dropped. That would probably result in no result, so no win or loss.

We're investigating an issue in the riot login service triggered by a network outage. I believe we're starting to see traffic slowly recover.

Our hope is that you don't feel like this is a painful grind. We don't want that either. As mentioned by some other players the placements will be shorter than your initial placements and your performance will be weighted higher during those matches.

If you play well in your (abridged) placements you should be fairly close to your Act I rank, and also be able to very quickly prove that you can play at that skill level in Act II. With Act II there are a lot of changes we are making, patch notes to come out on Act II in coming weeks, so its a new opportunity to prove your skills and rank up.

So at the end of act 1 we get no ranked badge and no border?

You are right, no badge or border for Act I. Your Act I Rank progress will still show in Match History and can be viewed by you or your friends. We felt it was important to clarify what the goal posts were for the start of the Act to earn a badge and border, so you all knew what was at stake, and had a full Act to compete to earn them.

This is so weird and new that I can't tell how bad/good it'll be until actually playing. Seems really cool though.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts once you check it out in Act II. It is a new system to your point, so we will closely be listening to you all, and adjust and improve it over time based on the community's feedback.

Starting in Act II, your friends will be able to inspect your Match History, including both your matchmaking rank and overall Act Rank progress.

Finally. No more/Less of inviting your iron friend and then having to embarrassingly kick them cause they are too low to queue with.

It definitely can feel not great. I've been on the receiving end of the 'too low rank,' situation before. Hope this helps.

Can we get a confirmation on if ranked will be available at the start of every new act. Or if it will be disabled for the big patch changes?

Our plan is to have Competitive Mode enabled at the start of Act II. We will assess how that goes, but no current plans to have it disabled for this Act or future Acts.

As we near the end of VALORANT Act I, we want to lay out our plans for the Competitive experience at the end of an Act, and discuss new features starting in Act II.

Currently in our Competitive system, your rank is very closely tied to your skill (MMR) and it can move up or down fluidly depending on if you are having a good or bad day of competitive play. We want you to have an accurate representation of your current skill in matches. We also want to build a ranked system that promotes growth and engagement over ‘peaking’ at a top rank, getting anxious about losing it, and stuffing it in the fridge.

Let’s talk about our next steps!

Competitive Act II Update & Act Ranks

The takeaway: After an Act, all that matters for your Act Rank are your 9 best ranked wins of the act, and how many wins you’ve gotten in the act. So if you peak at Diamo...

If you could provide some high res images of a few angles of some guns that would be great! (Primarily the Prism Phantom and Spectre, as well as the yellow Prime Vandal) Many thanks:)

you can find some already uploaded renders of the guns on artstation :) the base 3d models and skins have a few uploads already from myself and another artist on the team:

A 16 character name written in a Western language would not be as wide. Since Valorant is a new game designed in the US, situations like this may not have been fully considered at this time.

Great call out! I am responsible for this and will get a fix in for next patch. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
