The PC crashing or becoming unresponsive usually indicates a hardware or driver issue of sorts, as Vermintide 2 operates in protected memory and should never be able to directly crash the PC. Due to it’s demanding nature, it could be highlighting a hardware or driver instability.

Could you both check what your NAT Type is, please? I believe this can be done by navigating to Settings > Network > View Connection Status. The NAT Type should be listed at the bottom of the page.

Could you upload one of your most recent console logs, please? Your console logs can be located using the instructions below:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’

They’ve “fixed”(to a degree) hyperdensity a few times in the history of Vermintide 2. The problem is it always becomes broken again or faces issues.

They actually had a version of it working a bit during the initial WoM beta, I believe it was. People’s beef with it was that it gave the enemies more collision and it was making it difficult for players to move and dodge. It was just the way the enemies sort of moved around a player. I think that short backlash is why they scrapped it so fast that time. Getting the slot system to consistently work right has been one of the biggest thorns in Fatshark’s side.

While it’s far from perfect, it’s certainly working at least a little bit compared to pre-WoM. There are definitely attempts for enemies to “take slots”. In addition to that, the game is supposed to limit how many enemies can attack the player at any given time. The game can start breaking though and these barriers can be bypassed(such as a torrent of lunging enemies)....

any way, I’ve done a couple of fixes for a few scenarious were we ended up with wrong resolution.

This will come with next patch I would guess. I hope this fixes your issues.

Welcome to Patch 2.0.7. This patch brings a bunch of stability fixes as well as a batch of ability, talent and other fixes as well. Thanks for reporting issues to us - we’re not done yet of course and will continue to work on and correct the issues you report to us.

  • Fixed various miscellaneous crashes.
  • Fixed an issue where throwing axes could be used in place of barrel objectives.
  • Fixed an issue where area of effect attacks (including Career Skills) could start missing targets after a while when hitting many targets in one attack.
  • Fixed an issue where killing the Minotaur did not count towards the daily and weekly quest to slay monsters.
  • Fort Bruisingfinale - Fixed an issue that caused the end event to loop. Sorry about that...

I have a repro for one case when this happens. I will solve that one and then see if that resolves your issue.

In my case I use Nvidia DSR to supersample the game.
