It looks like you’re running into a Deadlock crash. It’s difficult to determine the cause from the logs alone unfortunately. I suspect it’s a localised issue and that something isn’t playing nicely.

Does the issue persist after a PC restart?

  1. Delete the appdata\roaming\fatshark directory (this is one directory down from the darktide directory)
  2. Run steam as an administrator

It feels like steam cant write to the directory which is why its not generating the launcher log. I’m hoping that by wiping the fatshark subfolder, steam will be able to recreate the file structure

Hi @OnTour,

Can you please provide your console log from a session that the Error Code: 2001 occurred so we can take a look?

Thanks!

We’re looking into this - apologies for any inconvenience.

Yep, it is the same as internal_error :frowning: merging in to the other post to keep tabs.

Re-pinning with the latest update having been released, some of you may witness this.

There is no need to bump. It is scheduled for an upcoming update. When? I don’t know right now.

We’re not ignoring the issue, it’s very much on our radar. I simply haven’t created a pinned post as like you say it’s not as common, and we’re already rammed with pinned posts.

I will create one if the reports ramp up.

Rejects,

We have just finished our first full weekend of the pre-order beta of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and, frankly, have been both excited and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of players jumping in. It’s a great opportunity for many of you to play, but it also helps us shape the game leading into the launch on November 30th

As many of you may have also seen, we truly are using this time to pressure test the systems and beta the game. Some of this isn’t without hiccups, and we have had our share of them, but some of it can deepen players’ experience. A good example of that is our “Ventilation Purge” event. It was one of the many conditions we can add to the game, keeping your stay in Tertium fun and ever-changing.

You should have a ‘Frame Generation’ option under DLSS in the ‘Video’ menu. Try disabling that.

It’s hard to say off the bat, but there may be some correlation between them.

Your crash appears to be a unique one - I’ve added it to our database for investigation.

Selective Startup? See if one of your background applications is interfering with your input. We’ve had problems with the SteelSeries Engine in the past,. bizarrely:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
