• The Guilds user interface has been updated to provide more ease of Guild management.
• Alliance players now have access to the Might of Stormwind, to a version of the Warchief’s Blessing world buff effect. This new buff is gained for turning in a new quest “End of the Dark Horde” in Stormwind and is mutually exclusive with Warchief’s Blessing.
• The Songflower Serenade and Dire Maul Tribute buffs can no longer be dispelled by enemy players.
• Druids can now train and use polearms.

Thank you all for your feedback on our new Mythic+ affix system. As we continue to review community responses for future adjustments, we’ve made updates in this week’s Beta.

New Affix

Continuing with the theme of Xal’atath’s Bargain, where players can harness powerful boons granted to dungeon enemies by the Harbinger, we’re adding a new affix to our Beta testing this week.

Xal’atath’s Bargain: Voidbound

• While in combat, Xal’atath summons Void Emissary to empower nearby enemies, gradually increasing their damage. Upon defeating the Void Emissary, players harness the void energy for themselves, increasing their critical chance by 20% for 20 seconds.

Tuning and Experience

Across the board we’ve increased the XP rewards from delves during level up as they felt a bit too low.

We’ve also done a general tuning pass across all tiers and will continue to monitor difficulty for all specs and classes. From your feedback and from our testing we saw that delves became particularly punishing throughout level up, and that many specs felt like they had to be several item levels higher than the recommended item level to survive.

  • Unholy Strength (Rune of the Fallen Crusader) now heals for 4% maximum health (was 6%).
  • An issue causing Raise Abomination to deal less damage than it should has been fixed.

We’re aware of this issue and working on a fix for it.

• The maximum of Rank 10 is now available in PvP.

• The Sunken Temple raid now resets twice per week.

Phase 4

Season of Discovery Phase 4 officially begins on Thursday, July 11 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (22:00 CEST). Players will be able to level up to level 60 for the first time, and will gain access to new dungeons, quest and zone content, and a variety of other fun features.

• July 11 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (22:00 CEST) – Phase 4 begins and the level cap is raised to 60.
• July 18 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (22:00 CEST) – The Tainted Scar and Storm Cliffs raid instances become available.
• July 25 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (22:00 CEST) – Onyxia’s Lair and the Molten Core raid instances become available.

Let it be known that Dragonflight Season 4 will close soon. Players who make a big push to end the season will want to get started on their final weeks of efforts.

• When Season 4 ends, it will no longer be possible to earn PvP seasonal rewards, titles, or Dragonflight Season 4 rankings.
• For a time after the end of Season 4, most Mythic+ achievements and rewards will remain earnable.

As we prepare to release WoW Classic patch 1.15.3 tomorrow and open Phase 4 on Thursday, we want to remind you that any players who gained Honor via Bloodstained Commendations will need to make sure to gain at least 15 Honorable Kills against players of the opposing faction in normal PvP (i.e. Battlegrounds or World PvP, not in the Blood Moon event) during the week, in order to be eligible rank up the week that begins on July 15.

Gaining honor from Bloodstained Commendations alone is not sufficient to rank up, regardless of the amount of Honor gained in this way. To summarize, the requirements to progress past Rank 7 are:

• Level 60
• At least 15 HKs
• Sufficient Honor to increase in rank

Reminder: in Phase 4, the maximum rank in PvP is Rank 10.

• What’s Down There? now requires 1 Massive Lunker (was 2).
• That’s not a Fish… now requires 5 Massive Lunkers (was 10).
• We’re Going to Need a Bigger Harpoon now requires 10 Massive Lunkers (was 25).

Items

• Ominous Conch cooldown lowered to 1 minute (was 5 minutes).
• Increased the drop rate of Ominous Conch found in Tuskarr Tackle Boxes.
• Ominous Conch now has a maximum stack size of 20.
  • Developers’ notes: Ominous Conch used to have a maximum stack size of 20 in earlier patches, and that was removed. Since we’re putting the max back on it, we think it’s best to also reduce the associated achievement requirements and cooldown.

• There is a known issue that characters may appear to be missing articles of clothing on the character select screen. Logging in and out of the game client will address this.

      • Damage now scales with Mastery.
      • Damage increased by 100%.
      • Now has a 50% chance to trigger on auto-attack critical strikes while dual wielding and 100% while wielding a two-handed weapon.
      • Now deals reduced damage beyond 8 targets.
    • Pillar of Frost’s Strength increased to 30% (was 25%).
    • Enduring Strength’s Strength increased to 20% (was 15%).
    • Long Winter now extends Pillar of Frost by 2 seconds, up to a maximum of 6 seconds.
