Class Updates

In The War Within, all character Stamina has been increased by 60% as part of an overall adjustment to the pace of healing gameplay. This increases the relative value of abilities that heal a percentage of a character’s maximum health. Many of these ability changes are to counteract that relative change. For instance, the percentage health that Frenzied Regeneration restores has been reduced by about a third, but the amount of health it restores has remained the same.

With the introduction of the Dragonflight talents system and season-over-season changes, tanks in World of Warcraft have become extremely durable relative to non-tank characters. Their active defenses can mitigate high percentages of incoming damage and they have strong self-healing. Today, in the hardest content in the game, many tanks can sustain themselves without much assistance from healers. In some cases, we’ve seen it become optimal to do group content without a healer at all.

World of Warcraft is an MMO, and its multiplayer aspects are a major strength. Group content is extremely rewarding when players performing different roles come together to overcome a challenge. We want to reinforce the importance of the healer role and work towards gameplay where tanks and healers collaborate to reduce the damage the tank is taking and to restore the tank’s lost health.

  • A new item -- Hand of Injustice -- is now available from Pix Xizzix, the Undermine Real vendor.
  • Added new shield enchant that grants 30 spell power and 55 healing power – Law of Nature. Available to learn for Enchanters. The pattern is available from Timbermaw Hold at Revered.
  • Added a temporary shield enchantment that grants 24 spell power, much like wizard oil -- Conductive Shield Coating. Available to learn for Enchanters. The pattern is available from Thorium Brotherhood at Honored.

When you say it’s bugged, I need the following information:

• Is Bolvar present or missing? If Bolvar is missing, then the event will stall. While exceptionally frustrating, this is technically not a bug, as it is accurate to Vanilla, even with his long respawn timer.
• Where did it stall? Is Prestor a dragon or still a human? Is Reginald still standing is he dying?

We’ve identified the issue that’s preventing you from upgrading Season 4 gear and are working on a fix to resolve it. We plan on restarting all US WoW Servers to pick it up cleanly, which will happen tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 7am Pacific (10am Eastern).

Season of Discovery

• Activities involving Reginald Windsor event in Stormwind Keep should now complete more reliably when Highlord Bolvar Fordragon, Lady Katrana Prestor, and Reginald Windsor are all alive.
• Hellscream’s Phantom should now respawn after an unsuccessful attempt.
• Fixed some ring engravings so that all the benefitting classes can learn them:
  • Arcane Specialization: Now learnable by Druid and Hunter (was only Mage).
  • Defense: Now learnable by Rogue, Warlock, Warrior, Paladin, and Shaman (was only Druid).
  • Frost: Now learnable by Hunter (was only Mage).
• The correct version of Necromantic Band now drops from the Death Knight Darkreaver in Scholomance.
• The Ashenvale quests “Clear the Forest!” and “Repelling Invaders” have been scaled to level 60.
• Fixed the health and damage of creatures inside Alterac Valley Battleground so that...

WoW Classic Era and Hardcore

• Fixed an issue preventing certain dungeon upgrade quests from being able to be accepted from Deliana in Ironforge and Mokvar in Orgrimmar.

We don’t have an ETA yet.

We’re working on it. This is a top priority.

Hey all, we have a tentative fix coming soon. However, as a heads up, we do need to despawn all of the NPCs involved, which will mean that Bolvar will likely be gone for a few hours until he respawns.

Once he’s back, please reply to this therad and let us know if it’s still stalling!
