Can someone help me to understand the origin of this meme? I've heard it since I started playing so I have to assume it occurred before my time with WoWs.
The nature of SAP shells on the Italian line is that you don't expect to deal with Overpens. Even a few hits go a long way because of the rather potent base damage of the SAP shells, so you see some pretty gnarly dispersion to try and avoid them power-clapping ships.
Keeping the poor dispersion does help to force the player to take a more aggressive position which the armor, concealment, and smoke capabilities make possible. The line is designed for medium to close play.
Italian Battleships were recently buffed with a baseline 30% "Gun Feeder" function. You can swap shells more easily which helps as situations change and SAP and AP needs vary. You can further enhance the shell-swap capability by taking the Gun Feeder skill on your commander, and I really recommend doing so.
Our Brawl Matchmaker takes into account "# of Wins". After accruing a large number of wins, there can be a wait time while waiting to find other players.
Our description is a "naval warfare-themed massively multiplayer game" per the first result from googling "World of Warships".
We have a variety of voiceovers in our game. Natali has not provided one, but if you are looking for a female voiceover there are a few options:
Multiple Anime inspired Captains
Dasha (Voiceover is in Russian)
Statue of Liberty (Voiceover is in English)
There is also a mod called "Mermaid's Wrath" which provides a lot of female voicework.
I can tell you that I don't have plans for that for the forum contests I create, but that thread in particular was created by SaltySeaGuy, who is our Social Media Manager. Can't hurt to keep an eye out on social media channels to see what he comes up with!
There will always be an argument to only do optimal/best-case things. This is known as "Min-Max'ing" in gaming. It's not about playing the game so much as doing what is perfectly correct for maximum benefit at all times.
It's a playstyle that many enjoy when it comes to cerebral challenges or situations. I do fall into it personally at times, but I dislike going too hard into it as I lose the spirit of the game when I do.
See this is interesting, because I felt that I could only chip away at ships long range but when I found that mid-range sweet spot, that's where I saw heavier damage. I suppose that could say more about my accuracy than the ship's accuracy, though.
High tech or not, I am a visual learner and even this basic drawing gives me some useful tips. Thank you!
Sailor_Moon would not deliberately join WarGaming just to get the California buffed. That would not happen. Ever.
Nope. Definitely not possible...
"Collecting the "Seven Seas" collection, you probably noticed the mysterious letters on the pictures of the ports?
Take a closer look at the ports in the game, maybe there is some mystery there?
Try to solve the riddle and win your reward!
And just may be there are more riddles... Look for other clues in the combat missions and our articles.”
Unless it's Sailor_Moon
I do have a message that I can relay about this:
"Commanders!
Some of the players who acquired the American Freedom DLC, among other items, should have received a rental Dunkerque on their account. But due to a technical error, players were incorrectly credited with the regular version of this ship or compensation in doubloons if they already have her. The excess items have already been withdrawn from the accounts of the affected players. We have fixed the issue by providing 1 week rental of Dunkerque, as well as 1 Steam container for the inconvenience caused.
Thank you for your understanding."
The primary items described for the DLC (3 US Navy Ships and 1 Day of Premium Time) have not been affected.
Hello all,
I have the great pleasure of becoming a new Community Manager with the NA team. If you don’t (or do!) know anything about me, I’d love to introduce myself!
I've been enjoying World of Warships since the early days of Closed Beta back in 2015 and have spent way too much time playing over the years. I enjoy playing every kind of ship, but most may know me for streaming CV gameplay during the early days of the CV rework, which led me to the CC program. I also play the game competitively and have led my own team to a fair number of Clan Battles wins over the past few years, as well as taking part in tournaments like King of the Seas.
Outside of Warships, I've spent a ridiculous amount of time playing other games such as EVE Online (10 years of my life), enjoy reading fiction (mainly fantasy and sci-fi), and love to explore new foods.
I'm really excited to get started and if anyone has questions or just wants to s...
