I created a Free-to-Play account recently since there was community concern about the Econ/Camo changes. I went ahead and got the Weser to play the scenario for you, video below.
Glad it's not as scary as some made it seem!
Please disable your Mods! Reports are that the "Scrooge" mod in particular is causing the Buy button issues, but disabling Mods has been shown to fix the issue.
As you correctly pointed out - that's not a feature, nor has it ever been as I recall.
What would you do with 1000 MS-21 camos?
?
Nope! But you can set them to "auto-repurchase"
We are aware of the differentiation in secondaries. This was brought to our attention during development, but this is the setup we decided to go with.
You are not being charged for anything. If you go in game and look underneath your Commander, you will see a tab called Economic Bonuses, which is where the economic increases from your signals and camos are now located. They were converted to these new bonuses this patch, and separated from the visual component in order to give players more customization options. You still have all of the visual components from every camo you owned prior to this update. Economic and Special signals are no more, but are reflected in the bonuses you now have. Combat signals are now located under the Equipment tab. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
We did announce that we're looking at providing a way to knock off multiple snowflakes at once. We haven't revealed further information, but it's something to look forward to hearing about~
Ah, I see what you are saying here.
So your claim is that the overall value of a "Gift Container" has gone down because the average eco bonus that comes from the contents now is generally less than before. I think it's important to highlight that comparing the old eco signals to expendable bonuses now is not a 1-1 ratio. However, you make a good point that the overall value of a Gift Container may be low.
That's an important distinction to make. It does not mean that you are fundamentally wrong here, but it does mean that the entire picture is not seen.
Few of the containers that had signals / boosters will have an exact corresponding match in the new system. The two are simply not going to line up perfectly every time, but ones that are orders of magnitude off are important to note, so I will make sure this gets brought up.
Thank you!
Credits and XP are earned separately. There's a great How It Works video that describes the earning amounts:
