Whether you like it or not, 7DTD is in fact built around a set of realistic and quasi-realistic rules. It is not out of line to then measure things by this quasi-realistic standard.

EG: It's realistic to fall when you jump, If we're just throwing realism out the window entirely, then the... Read more

Okay but, You're not working with a 'Modern circuit'. You're working with a backyard ♥♥♥♥♥♥ wiring job made by someone with only vague knowledge of electricity out of a lawnmower engine and some bits and bobs.

Yknow why we have such sophisticated infrastructure to transform the energy from multiple high class electricity distributors like nuclear reactors to a level usable by a modern house? It's because you NEED to do those steps in order to not completely and totally fry anything and everything connected to the power grid.

In 7DTD, you have a direct line with no alternating current from the generator itself to whatever is being powered, This inherently means there is an upper limit to the amount of wattage that can be run down that line without frying things. Furthere, there's almost no protective steps anywhere from start to finish.

Without at the very least introducing power transformers into the mix, you simply cannot, realistically speaki... Read more

The weather system is still a work in progress. I think we're going to see a lot of changes to it in a20 that make it more varied and improves behavior.

Not sure what you're expecting to happen here? If he got his money back from a forceful return, then just have him buy the game again, His saves and such will still be there. TFP won't issue a free game key, Nor do they have a way of sending a key that would subsequently charge the user for it. So re-buying it is about the only thing that can be reasonably done.

Looks good to me.

Multiple posts deleted. We treat each other with respect on this forum. Thread closed.

If you want to raise awareness over this issue, the official forum’s bug report system is the best place to contribute. Sending you there is not ignoring a problem, by the way. That’s exactly what’s needed to get a problem fixed.

Navezgane map is static. It does not change. There is snow in the entire northern section.

Actually they do and they will dig under walls even if I am above them. I have seen them go to a nearby POI and start bashing the walls and/or digging under it for no reason I can figure out othe...

If they know you are there (and the blood moon horde always does) then they will take the path of least resistance. If that means beating down your door and coming down your ladder to get you. They will. If it means digging through 20 layers of dirt and rock to get you. They will do that instead. Which ever ...

This is a common misconception. You can make an underground base. What’s changed is that zombies can dig now. Specifically, they’ll dig down if you’re below them. They won’t dig under a wall if you’re both on the same level.

What this does is put underground bases on a more level playing field with above ground bases. Before, underground bases rendered the player completely unreachable - in other words, infinitely safe for a nominal effort. That breaks the design goals of the game, e.g. that the Blood Moon horde should be nontrivial for those that choose to play with it on. So they fixed it to where it’s possible for zombies to reach you underground (as well as on stilts, and other base setups the zombies couldn’t handle before).

Now we have an adjustable scale in the settings for how much block damage zombies can do. Instead of a binary where zombies can tear through x but are totally stumped by y, we start with the premise that zombies can get t... Read more

That's just way over the top. If they want to force us to a nomad only playstyle, then they need to remove crafting altogether.

As it is, the game is unplayable to me unless i find a way to tone this down without killing the entire idea of the g...

Fun times

I imagine that would still work if you built an enclosure and then poured in multiple buckets of water. The problem would be that your swimming speed is absolutely terrible now.
