1: This already exists; In the character menu when you select the secondary tab to show statistics.
2: Is unlikely- But functionality technically exists in game for this and it can be enabled via an xml edit iirc? So you're more likely to get this from a mod than from TFP.
3: Iirc this is already planned? A helicopter at least- Can't speak for it carrying multiple members.
4: Almost certainly will not happen without a mod.
5: There are infected/zombie bears. Dire wolves also are infected variants of wolves (They have the same Feral eyes as feral zombies.) -- Additional skinned variants of the same wildlife (EG: Eagles and crows when we have vultures) is unlikely; They don't add enough to the game to warrant it.
6: There are numerous blocks that can be used to 'peek', Not limited to but including half blocks, quarter blocks, wedge tips, arrow slits, bulletproof glass, and, well, hatches. Use some ingenuity.
7: Vehicle mods are planned- Can't speak to the on... Read more

I've been working on weather manager cleanup and now starting on the simulation, so hopefully less gloomy days.

From the sounds of it, You logged out mid-quest.

If you logged out at any point in the middle of the quest, it was reset to it's initialized (unstarted) state, requiring you to interact with the exclamation mark to begin the quest again.

We need more information. I’m going to move this to the Bug/Crash Reports section. Please see the pinned threads in this section for instructions on how to report an issue.

You’ll get differing opinions on this and can form your own. You’re always welcome to play the game how you like. But since you ask, for me there is a big difference between can’t reach and can’t easily reach.

If they can’t reach you at all, ever, then the game is broken. You’re taking advantage of AI bugs to make the game artificially easy: easier than intended. It’s not much more impressive than turning God mode... Read more

I can look at that at some point, but busy with other things now.

A lot of complicated code. For all the people who complain about lack of optimizations, if there were none it would be unplayable.

Originally posted by kkitts: To be fair, it took twice as long to generate in A18. I was doing 16K maps, and it took over an hour on my upper-end rig to generate a 16K map. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to do an 8K map now. Still, I miss the 16K maps with the truly huge cities. A19's biggest cities are the 3rd-size-rank cities from A17.
Not sure what kind of hardware you're running on, but in a17 it was 40 minutes to an hour, in a18 it was 30-40 minutes, and in a19 it's 15-25 on identical hardware that meets recommended specs.
The goal for a20 is currently 1 minute per 1k map size. You can see more information in last Wednesday's Stream.

Crafting stops at Q5. Last I heard, Q6 will be being repurposed into a tier of 'Legendary' type items, rather than being an additional level of the existing weapons/tools.

Originally posted by Shane: i would rather get rid of the root level skill that needs to be pushed to lv.10, its that which winds me up and leaves me thinking ranking is too slow on a already 5 page set of trees.
The whole point is that you're supposed to focus on what you need now- Not on getting every skill. Choices matter, You're not supposed to get all the skills in a casual playthrough.

Even if they removed the primary stat (which itself is meant to make you choose where to focus your points- Do you focus your points to get high levels in one stat, or spread them to be more of a jack of all trades?), they would just do something like make leveling take way longer, or re-add level gating.. Or worst, nerf and spread ... Read more

It requires level 279 currently to max all skills- 6 points less if you wear a cigar and any single kind of eye wear that provides a main stat, as it allows you to skip buying the 10th rank of that stat.

Max level is 300, so, it's fully possible.

And in answer to the question- Yes I think it's enough. Honestly by the time you're at level 50-100, you're pretty rounded out and doing fine- More than that is nicety, not necessity.

Max level is 300. IIRC you can max all the skills around level 270 currently.

The only real issue is patience.

For me, it's mostly dependent on the playthrough.. But typically, I always pick up the following within the first week:
Rank 1 Advanced Engineering from Intellect
Rank 1 Master Chef from Strength
Rank 1 Miner 69'er from Strength
Rank 1 Mother Lode from Strength
Rank 1 Living off the Land
Rank 1 Healing Factor
The above takes me to level 3; the 4 free points and 2 levels- easily achievable in day 1.

This sets you up with the ability to make better food to feed yourself, and teas which help fill your thirst and grant additional effects(Master Chef)

Living off the land lets you gather extra from crops and plants like goldenrod/chyranthemum, great for making teas, and also reduces the cost of making farm plots letting you craft them sooner.

The ability to make a forge(Advanced Engineering), Quality 2 tools which with the forge you can craft iron ones (Miner 69er); Plus better mining returns from Miner 69er+Mother Lode

Start hacking at tree stumps. Every one of them. Consume the honey to lower your infection by 5% over time.

Furthermore, there is a fair bit of medical loot in POIs - but the tree stumps will help you really early game.

The searches you're returning are old and outdated.

Originally posted by Skyguy: Hmm, would reverting to A18 perhaps make it achievable once again?

I went much further back initially to give it a go, though I suspect the old survivalist achievement isn't compatible with the gamestage version of it so it never popped for me.

Yes, in general other users have had success reverting to earlier Alphas to get achievements that aren’t currently attainable.

Either A18, or possibly A17 should(?) work. Possibly also A16..but I don't remember if versions before that had the gamestage mechanic build in yet.

It's my understanding that, at least as it used to be before A19, that game difficulty affected your maximum gamestage- with the topmost difficulty being unlimited.

However as of A19 I believe they made it so game difficulty has no bearing on your gamestage.. Which may mean that, as it currently stands, you may be incapable of reaching 1000 gamestage in the current build.

Depends on the setting. For the most part you can change them without an issue. Some require you to shut the server off, change the config, and then start it up again. Changing a setting like the seed, or map size, will require starting over.
