You're making some hella assumptions right there. What if it could be fixed but required sacrificing some other major part of the game they didn't consider to be worth the loss? Or maybe they tried and tech support wasn't very helpful? Or something else?

Tech support isn't magic. They'll try to help- But it doesn't mean the help will be successful.

#1 is already there. You can see in your skills what books you have read.
#2 is just you denying the truth because it doesn't match your agenda. This is a Voxel game. Do some research.
In fact, test it yourself. Make a mod that makes it so that all the recipes show up unfiltered. Then watch your performance tank any time you open your inventory, a forge, or a workstation.

Just to answer this in isolation; Specifically, what I said was that too many recipes/blocks/etc available in a single crafting menu/inventory will cause FPS loss and inventory lag. It's totally doable- Easily even. But, it is, at least currently, detrimental to gameplay.

Try enabling creative mode some time; Most likely, when you have creative mode enabled, you'll notice a subtle lag in every inventory/menu related action; That's because every time you shift panels, or select an item in the inventory it reloads all the crafting lists and all available items. For some it's not as bad; But it very present, and very annoying- And not at al... Read more

I find that what feels most like a refrigerator, among what we can craft without cheating, is a 2-block-high stack of beverage coolers.

I've also been jonesing for an armoire for clothes, instead of having to use a stack of nightstands or the green metal lockers.

Yes. I was quite impressed when it handled as I expected it to.

The console version is a custom flavor of a14.7 with most of a15 content added, and some a16. It is in no way compatible with any PC version of the game.

The current version of the game client on the PC is light years ahead of the consoles anyway. I'm certain you won't miss your old world much once you start exploring all of the new features. :steamhappy:

It's listed in the block information; Horizontal support, mass, etc. These values are the structural integrity.

EG: A block with 50 horizontal support and 5 mass can support 10 of itself horizontally. (5x10=50)

"Build your walls 2 blocks thick"...eventually there will be only one base that everyone builds if this continues as there will be no other options.
It's an issue with splash damage in Unity. The devs are working on fixing the code for this.

Many forums(including most Valve's products forums) do that.
Would never advice to participate, say, a CS:GO or TF2 forums, as it is mostly a ♥♥♥♥ show and a mish-mash of people just posting nonsense. The only 2 moderations done...

Funny, Plenty of people seem to have no issue finding, reading, and engaging in posts moved to other sub-forums.... I suppose you'd prefer to have 100% of all topics right here in General Discussions then, So that everything recent gets buried under several pages of topics you have no interest in?

It's not rocket science.

You wanna read or answer question? Go to General Questions.

Wanna tell a story about something you experienced, Or read someone elses stories? Go to Survivor stories.

Reporting a bug or issue? Put it in bug reports.

Searching for an answer to a particular question? Search the General Questions subforum instead of the General Discussions one- We try to move all the questions with actual answers to the general questions section so it's easier to sift for answers instead of being inundated by 1,000 other topics that are just discussions on some other totally unrelated thing that a passing mention of what you're searc... What is there twitch channel so I can catch them next time they do a live stream?

What you encountered was a wandering horde; They just happen, rather at random. When spawned they're pointed in the players direction with I think up to a 30 degree margin of error to either side- So alot of the time they just go by without you ever even knowing they're there.

No relation whatsoever to the blood moon.

Two of our servers have no loot respawn. We set them this way at the request of our players who wanted more of a challenge.

And if the server really gets depleted, then we can run a script and reset the POI's and regions with no player bases. One is currently at day 395, and there haven't been any complaints from the 60 people who have been playing on it.

It's fun in the wasteland an night. Kill one, and another respawns right away. I was crossing the biome at night once and had 5 on me by the time I got to the other side. (no vehicle, just running)
Took a few down along the way, but that just attracted more.

There currently is not a way to, no. And I'd wager it's unlikely for it to be forthcoming since there isn't typically a reason to ever craft something lower quality.

This is not an excuse.

We expect the game as consumers to include pvp. It did for years. Fix it - with regards to underground clipping.

The game is in Alpha, and we ( Me and all other who have similar issue ) expect that - (as consumers) of a product to be fixed.

Thanks.

nah man, i dont have pagefile enabled. Using SSD for that is obviously dumb and my HDD is too slow and old, using it just to store videos at this point.

Fallout 4 is a finished game that released over 5 years ago. It's also a 2D game. It is most definitely not a fully 3D Voxel game with a fully destructible 3D terrain, structural integrity calculations on every block, and a complex AI that has to re-calculate pathing based on an ever-changing landscape.

I mean you're basically comparing a 2005 Honda Fit against a 2022 CR-V.

8GB RAM is the minimum that is playable. It works quite well, and I've run tests to show the difference between most users bloated systems, and an optimized system. I documented it quite thruroughly.
