As I’m sure some of you are wondering, we do intend on converting Faction Standing from the old Faction Warfare to the new Faction Warfare.

This conversion process is as follows:
  • When enlisting with a Faction for the first time, your standing with that Faction will be converted without the normal conversion penalty. This means that there will be absolutely no loss of your old Faction Standing’s contribution to your progress in the new Faction Warfare.
    • HOWEVER: This complete conversion can only be used once. When enlisting with a Faction, standing with other Factions will be set to zero. Please be certain when making your choice about which Faction to enlist with as this decision can’t be undone without any loss of Faction Standing.

Hello everyone,

With the launch of the Call to Arms update, we've upgraded the underlying Albion Online game engine version. In addition to providing a more optimized development process, this update should greatly improve some aspects of the game's performance, particularly a reduction of micro-stutters during gameplay. At the same time, there are potential new issues which come with any new technology.

We will continue to monitor the game's post-update performance and make any necessary adjustments. Please let us know if you notice any improvements or notice any new issues.

Call to Arms Update - Version 18.000.1 - March 17, 2021

Version Numbers Simplified


With this update, the version numbers we assign to all updates, patches, and hotfixes have been simplified. These will now appear in the form XX.XXX.X and will increase incrementally and chronologically. As in the past, patches will frequently have names (e.g. "Call to Arms Patch 6", "Brimstone and Mist", etc.) in addition to their version numbers.

Island Move

As Faction Warfare has received a major rework, player and guild islands are eligible for a single free one-time move between cities. This move is available via the Island Merchant, and must be completed prior to maintenance on April 17, 2021.

Hello players of Albion,

I would like to introduce you to all the upcoming changes currently in development for Season 12.

This season we want to make ownership of territories more important for the season win and also create incentives for more activity in the Outlands outside of large battles. And we will are also making improvements to the newly introduced 20v20 Crystal League.

Large Scale Fights
Season Point Values
For Season 12 we will flatten the Season Point progression curve between the "Outer Circle" and "Inner Circle" of the Outlands to some degree.

This is intended to increase the importance of guild objectives like Territories and Castles globally as an important source of Season Point and Siphoned Energy generation. While these changes will flatten the progression curve, we are also increasing the overall output on the higher end:

Good day to you all,
With Call to Arms we are introducing Faction Warfare 2.0 and the reworked Hellgates, for both features we had to rework the Royal Continent, redesigned Caerleon and remove all static Hellgate locations from the Royal Continent, Outlands and Roads of Avalon.
Therefore we will have a Player Migration with Call to Arms where players will be moved to cities or to the exit of their current Zone.

Balltevault Migration - Royal Cities
Battlesvaults in all Conquerors' Hall Lvl 3 have been removed, items from these Battlevaults will be moved to the recovery tab of the corresponding City Bank and can be claimed immediately and without a fee.

Caerleon Rework

Use-All Button Added


Consumable items that commonly collect in large stacks can now be used in a single click via the new Use All Button in the item UI.
  • Stacks of Silver Bags will be consumed instantly and grant you the full amount of Silver
  • Tomes of Insight and chests use a channeled spell, meaning the items are still consumed individually and the channel can be canceled at any point.
  • The following items now have a "Use All" option:
    • All Silver Bags
    • All Tomes of Insight
    • All Reward Chests (will display an additional window showing accumulated loot): Adventurer's Challenge Chests, Crystal League Chests, etc.

I am excited to announce the upcoming changes currently in development for Season 11. There are quite a lot of cool changes to look forward to.

20v20 Crystal League
With Season 11 we will introduce a completely new tier of Crystal League: The 20v20 Crystal League.
These high stakes 20v20 fights follow a similar structure to our current 5v5 Crystal League, but with the gameplay of the current city fights.

As you know we recently reworked Disarray to have its effect applied based on the difference between team sizes.

How this works
  • If 25 players or more of the same alliance are in the same cluster they all get a debuff: Disarray
  • This debuff reduces damage and Crowd Control Duration when attacking a smaller group
  • The Disarray has different levels; the bigger your alliance, the higher the Disarray Level
  • Players who are in the Queue for that cluster count for your Disarray too
  • The more players the alliance has in the cluster the stronger the Disarray debuff becomes
  • The debuff only applies to guilds / alliances - groups of blue players in Royal Continent zones or faction flagged players are not affected.
