Toys are produced in the Artisan Workshop - but the biscuits you mentioned are produced and packaged in the Assembly Line.

u/Ubi-Thorlof : seems that (based on the screenshot) the skyscrapers have the "yellow" night light effect on the windows, instead of the "white" light.

If I understand correctly how it works in the base game, the yellow light is used for residences that aren't connected to electricity, whereas it turns to white when it's powered up.

Are the skyscrapers working correctly in that regard?

Hey, in the final version the Skyscrapers correctly show a more white-ish light when supplied with electricity.

Looking for DLC teasers, most likely...

I have yet to start a new game with Tourist DLC, so I must admit I’m a little bit lost with many of those infos.

What are multifactories? Can you build multiple items in the same building at the same time? Or one building can produce multiple hoods you have to choose from?

Recipes?

You can choose from a list of recipes or patents what the respective Multifactory is supposed to produce.

For example, the Artisan Workshop can be set to produce Cognac, Violins or Billiard Tables - each "recipe" requiring different input goods.

I believe the panorama effect has a large enough radius that you can still dedicate some space to non skyscrapper stuff around and still reach level 5 panorama

What a shame, I was hoping I'd only have to pay for Anno once

I appreciate that this would have been great for players, but the reality is that we spent more than 6 months working on the History Editions, and that development time does not come cheap.

So the choice for us was to charge for the History Edition, or it would not have happened. I know that some other developers have handled this differently in the past, which is great!

But I hope that players can appreciate that one important reason why Anno is still going strong (arguably stronger than ever with Anno 1800!) after 23 years when many other classic strategy franchises have sadly stumbled or fallen, is that we always try to make economically responsible decisions that will hopefully allow us to bring our players more Anno to enjoy for years to come.

So I understand if some players are not happy with this decisions, but think that it was the right one for the long-term health of the franchise.

Best,

Marcel

That is unfortunately still not something that we are planning to add.

He was. And some of the pyrphorians are as well... but that was years ago.

True, time flies. I saw "in the latest game" as still counting as recently :)

The Panorama Effect is a new mechanic exclusive to Skyscrapers. In short, your Skyscrapers will receive a buff if they are next to a skyscraper of a lower height.

So Panorama Effect won't give bonuses to Skyscrapers that are standing alone or nearby normal residences? Meaning, placing anything nearby Skycrapers that isn't Skycrapers will mean that place is "wasted". Depending on how much Skycrapers in nearby area we need to max out Panorama Effect, it could be really problematic for both beauty builders / record builders.

Following your feedback from “Tourist Season”, we’re adding several new items with “The High Life” which specifically affect the new building types introduced since “Tourist Season”, like Hotels, Restaurants, and the new Shopping Arcades.

10/10 that that was missing in Tourist Season. But I assume those items will be part of the game update, not part of High Life DLC? So we can use them ...

10/10 that that was missing in Tourist Season. But I assume those items will be part of the game update, not part of High Life DLC? So we can use them without High Life DLC, if we own Tourist Season?

Let me double check tomorrow, but I believe that owners of "Tourist Season" who do not buy "The High Life" should indeed also get them.

Now, the real question is who would want to do such a thing...

The tower may be the biggest building in the game but i can't avoid to think that those investors will fell a little... compressed, after i build the 20th Shopping Arcade.

The number will be comical in Crown Falls.

after i build the 20th Shopping Arcade.

Just imagine them being Starbuck's, and you will have a pretty realistic approximation for a modern American city ;)

Here I shall request a mod to build Skyline Towers without limit. The ultimate skyscraper

If you go by the definition of "ultimate" being the best of most extreme example of something, then having a a city full of Skyline Towers would kinda defeat that purpose. Hard to stand out when everything is a Skyline Tower ;)

I think Edvard was quite...unlikeable, to put it politely ;)

Truly, the world of anno is fascinating- what with requiring lacquer for generating infants!

Happy to provide more insights into the workings of the world of Anno 1800.

Very good point, we were of course referring to the late 19th and early 20th century!

Immersion restored?
