They should not have any of their files changed, but I'll see if I can get a definitive answer for you.

That the digit sum of any Anno year adds up to 9:

1+8+0+0=9

2+2+0+5=9

Etc.

Arguably, there is some 20th century in Anno 1800 as well- battlecruisers, skyscrapers or using airships for arctic exploration.

We have also previously said that we would not let the “rule of 9” get in the way of a game we would otherwise be convinced of, but I don’t think the 20th century is high on the to-do list.

From the artwork in the blog, it seems that the buildings keep the same shape, but has actual 3D variations. Like, a different building that has the same shape. I'd be ok with that

I mean, the pedestrian pack will include new 3D assets. All cosmetics so far required new 3D assets. It wouldn't be surprising that their last cosmetic pack would cost more but be very complete.

Maybe I'm dreaming too much...

More on the content later this year, but we can already say that the pricing will be the same as for all previous CDLCs.

Some good information in there.

Unfortunately I got a headache just reading about all the new things I'll need to do lol. I imagine, like most "Average" players my supply chains were held together with Duct Tape and Chewing Gum. I think I really need to spend a ton of hours massaging out all the existing stuff before triggering this.

But…how did you keep your production together using Chewing Gum, when that is only being introduced in “The High Life”? 🤔

Also, remember we are doing two streams for gamescom this afternoon, one in German and one in English :)

As LegoMaster87 has pointed out, Tuesday has been the standard new video game release day in the US for decades. Previously, games would often come out Thursdays in Germany, or Fridays in the UK, due to the peculiarities of the regional supply chains.

Now that we thankfully live in a glorious new world of global release dates, most companies have settled on Tuesday or Friday for their releases, with Ubisoft usually sticking to the former. And there is of course the old adage of “never ship on a Friday”, since you want to have people in the office if something goes wrong.

I must give you credit for your uncanny timing, as you pretty much made this post at the same time as @Ubi-Thorlof and myself spent our entire lunch break discussing 40k stories and miniatures…

In fact, your timing is so conveniently uncanny that I see no choice but to bring you to the attention of the Holy Ordos of his Emperor’s inquisition for questioning about witchcraft!

Real talk: There are many of us on the team who have a great fondness of Warhammer, but we have no intention whatsoever to combine that with Anno.

The Emperor protects!
