Hello there, nice job all of you have done so far with the game and DLC's.

However, I have a question to game update 10; is it possible to revert the automatic placement of fences etc. ? I really dont like that I have to manually click and ctrl+v every bit of plaza (as an example) now. For example to get the benches variation of the plaza tile in the "right" places, I have now to manually set the pieces to be benches. Before I could place them individually wherever I liked and it seems to be more work now to decorate.

Thank you for your feedback on the new hedge/fence placing mechanic. We've read a few comments like yours and agree that the new mechanic does not provide an optimal solution for all situations.

We'll discuss this topic once more internally in the upcoming weeks.

Hello Anno Team, thank you for making a great game I can play together with my friends and having a good time!

I play a lot alongside three other Annoholics, but unfortunately we weren't able to play with the Sunken Treasures DLC yet as only one of us could get Crown Falls Island and build MegaCityOne (and with the upcoming skyscrapers even the Peach Trees Towers ;) ).

We're you ever thinking of (sort of) tweaking Cap Trelawney, that every player could get their own Crown Falls island ?

Cheers from Nürnberg,

ANT1_V1RUS

Hey ANT1_V1RUS, happy to hear you're enjoying Anno 1800 in multiplayer! :)

While this topic has come up, we're currently not planning to add multiple Crown Falls for a multiplayer session.

The ships will try to use the pier with the highest loading speed at the specific coast. If your main trading post, for example, has a higher loading speed, they will prefer that one.

The same goes for Captain Tobias, for example.

Q1: GU10 brought many nice QOL-Features again but still some long desired features are missing. So my question is if you heard our feedback regarding more QOL improvements such as:

- a queue for the research institute

- the ability to convert scrap metal

- a tool to downgrade and a tool for multimove

- the ability to head for merchant islands when switching sessions

- the ability to change our color/emblem/character in an ongoing savegame?

Q2: In the past we once got a chance to collect all previous twitch drops in an event for a single weekend, which I sadly missed. So right now I am still missing the twitch drops from the "Bright Harvest" and the "Seat of Power" twitch event. Will we ever get a chance again to collect all previous twitch drops at once?

Q3: Will we finally get a hot-air-balloon in season 3?! :P

  1. We're aware there's a seemingly endlessly growing list of wishes and suggestions. Understandable, there's always something to improve ;) As usual, we won't guarantee these changes or features will make it into the game, but: Season 3 has just started and we're definitely planning to address more community feedback points in the next Game Updates.

  2. Right now we don't have plans to release past Twitch Drop ornaments separately, no.

  3. But you already got zeppelins! Like hot air balloons but bigger and faster :P

  1. Is there any chance to release the tool you guys use to make the camera flights in the trailer? I would love to create flights around my towns!

  2. Will you do another AMA in a couple months? Please? =)

I'd say right now it's not very likely we'll release a tool like this to the public since it's tied to a few other things. Can keep it in mind :)

Considering this AMA was very well received by all of you and we definitely enjoyed it, there's a good chance we'll repeat it some time in the future, yes.

So, the question:

Unfortunetly I've missed out on Anno 1800 Collector's Edition, more specificaly the Artbook. Do you have any plans on re-releasing the Collector's Edition or just the Artbook ? I think its phenomenal. Thanks!

Our art team (and UI team, of course, since you mentioned the tooltips) receives so much praise, we have to check it's not going to their heads :P

Right now, however, there are no plans to re-release the artbook. The artworks from the loading screens as well as the "scribbles" we have shared for "Tourist Season", for example, were received very positively, though, so we will most likely continue releasing this kind of content in a digital way, e.g. via a fan kit like in December last year.

We're aware that more ships are high on the wishlist for parts of our community and we'll investigate this topic once more internally. Since every new feature and object has to not only be created but also tested and balanced, we always have to estimate the development time and then set priorities in production.

So, not ruled out, but I can't promise if and when we might add another ship type.

Curious, any idea what you did before the issue appeared? Will forward it, but if you have any additional details, let us know.

Please really double-check there're no mods active or still installed.

If anyone who never used mods encounters this bug, please let me know.

Weeeell, as you said: It's an Easter Egg. So, not something we're focusing on during development. If some of our devs have some spare time and want to add a new "feature", it might happen.

We know a lot of you love this Easter Egg, but overall no, there are no general plans to expand on this gimmick.

Hey there, not quite sure what kind of improvement you want to see exactly.

If you're facing technical issues that are not related to your setup or your connection, feel free to report those on the forums or directly to the Ubisoft Support so they can be looked into.

Not finding players, unfortunately, is not something we can fix for you. From our experience, the majority of Anno players prefer to play multiplayer matches with friends or in existing groups instead of going for the random matchmaking option.

So, you might want to look for other players on the forums, here on Reddit, a Facebook group or a Discord channel to get regular multiplayer matches going.

I love the flexibility they offer us and I thought that new ones with different bonuses could spice up the game-play. Not necessarily more powerful that the current pool, just having different abilities. Altering input resources/half-products or having other bi-products, there's infinity of possibilities.

We are planning to add additional items later this Season, alongside the new mechanics we're introducing.

I just wanted to thank you for the games you do! I am a fan of ANNO series from 1602 and it is probably the only game series (alongside with DOOM lol) which never dissapoints! I wanted to say special thanks for Anno 2070, which is my fav part and Anno 1800: the Passage DLC. I think that somehow it was a tough decision to implement Artic into the game, however it was the most hardcore and "end-game" DLC for 1800. I really hope that you continiue this series and will add more real challenges to the games. No questions, just a big TNX!

Awesome to hear you're having such a great time with our games! (and DOOM, can't fault you there ;) )

In this case, I hope you'll enjoy what we have in store for this year, even if might not involve snow and ice and lots of freezing.

From here I can't tell you what exactly happened, but the account you're using here on the forums never had any games on it.
So, there has to be a 2nd account.

Like chris02918 suggested, please get in contact with our Support (https://support.ubisoft.com/), they will be able to help you find the other account.
You can also get in touch with the Ubisoft Support via ... Read more

Hi, thanks for the answer and the whole AMA btw. It's nice to see the game being supported not only by new content but also through community interaction like this.

Maybe I was indeed a little bit vague or maybe I'm just misremembering (it's been a while since I last played, so I'm sorry if my memory is wrong), but what I meant was for example things like the diving mechanics of Sunken Treasures. When I got the DLC I obviously knew it existed, but I found it a bit hard to figure out what I needed to unlock it using just ingame information without the help of the wiki. Insofar it'd be nice to have some sort of ingame information what the DLCs new mechanics need to unlock.

Ah yes, you're absolutely right. This is linked to the readability of content and to the introduction of features. Anno has a lot of content and it can lead to some features being overshadowed by more prominent game elements (especially with each new DLC).
But the good news is, we are aware that those aspects could be improved and are working in that direction ;)

Glad that you like the game and the AMA. It's also a pleasure for us to be in direct touch with our players :)

Hi!
The chronicles weren't ready, the scholar had been a bit lazy on the assignment by focusing only on the Golden Age of Enbesa. Despite the infotip stating that it could be read, there wasn't much to read...
If Ketema follows through his plans on the temple of Elam this summer, he will probably demand a rework... Stay tuned :)

Big compliment to this game and your team. I play a wide variety of games like Mobas, WoW, RTS, Shooters, RPGs, Strategy and this game nowadays is the only one that gets me really excited and hooked and should be the standard in terms of quality and general production.
Nowadays most games feel like a cheap cash grab (mainly big titles from ACTVI, EA) where you get ripped off, while here you get great value for your money spend.
Playing since 1602.

Hey, here's the reply from our Art team :)

"Our Concept Artists creating these digital paintings in Photoshop. They usually draw inspiration from various sources, like photo references or historical paintings. We also have our own library in the office filled with books covering various historical eras they use for inspiration. On top of that, they of course also bring in their own ideas as to how the Anno (1800) world looks like. "
