So from what I understand, the game launches at midnight est right? So the patch will go through before then so we can download it and start playing once it drops?

The update will be live prior to the midnight launch yes.

Can we get any gauge as to how large the patch will be? Less than a gig, 2 gigs, 5 gigs?

And can we get a better frame of reference for when it will be available aside from "before launch"?

I'll share more details when I have that info.

EDIT 2: Added some missing notes -

  • Armor bar segments now represent 200 armor instead of the previous 100 to improve readability at high armor values. This is a visual change only.
  • The option to quickplay strongholds was removed with the integration of the new Start of Expedition screen. This will be coming back in a future update. NOTE: this was disabled because it was putting players into story content they hadn't yet completed, such as the Heart of Rage.

EDIT: The Patch is now live!

Hey Freelancers,

If you notice anything missing please let u...

If any of the devs are like your cats, then maybe go with the above suggestion and feed them coffee.

Hey man thanks for clarifying. I realize some people don't get the answer they like but I appreciate you posting here. I sure hope Atmos makes it in sometime, and if you are ever able to share news on that many of us will be checking into it.

Thanks, and enjoying Anthem using Windows Sonic for now. Appreciate your time.

Cool, thanks!

I know its not your fault, but yeah - paying specificly to play a week early and then not being able to play kind of sucks.

100% agree. Sorry :(

I know you're a busy guy, just pinging you as this is a huge issue effecting my buddy. He practically cannot play unless I'm on to be leader to access missions.

All I know is that it's a known issue, and being looked at. Sorry for the hassle, I know it sucks!

Any luck with this? :)

Yep, but I'm not sure what the communication plan is. I'll defer to them :)

Cool - what kind of headphones? Wired? Can you screenshot me the output settings for both your speakers and headphones from the windows system panel?

  1. Click Start , and then click Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound.
  3. Under Sound, click Manage audio devices.
  4. Should be able to see what's going on per device by opening each one

I'm hoping this might get some attention, even though a minority case, so pining u/biocamden -

I have a very low bandwidth connection when playing at home. Thankfully, mission and gameplay-wise, Anthem does well with this.

The problem, however, is with some loading screens, particularly when starting up the game, and when going from mission completion into the rewards gallery. My loading screen slowly hums along until 70% or so (during which time my bandwidth is pegged at ~80kB/s - slow, I know). When reaching that roughly 70% mark, I'm often kicked back to the "frostbite engine" game startup screen with an "Error loading pilot data". And then when trying to get back into the game, this same kick-out happens two to three more times, then I'm finally able to load into Tarsis.

Note - this issue does not occur at all when playing from a higher bandwidth connection.

Do you know if these day-one load screen updates have optimiz...

Unfortunately Ardram I don’t, that’s not really work my team (combat / creatures) has done so I am unfamiliar any potential bugs there.

Thanks again for the feedback Nullifics. So the discrepancy between duration is all based on balance calculations we did (the size of the boost you get, how easy it is to trigger, etc). In terms of melee Ranger builds, we absolutely had success internally with some really cool melee Ranger builds. We continue to review Masterworks for usefulness and balance. I’ll definitely pass this feedback on so we can review it.

Any chance the interceptor can be less useless against titans? Melee immunity is harsh, especially during Ultimate.

Also- huge THANK YOU for the responsiveness to community. You and your cohort are rocking this so far.

Just a small note, even if the melee attacks are showing as 0 for the individual melee hits during Interceptor Ult, the Ult leaves a Wraith Strike projection which attacks the boss and does damage over time. The attack still does good damage. But yes feedback noted here for the Titan, thank you.

So this is not coming out before the patch friday?

I mean, are you telling me I cant play until then?

Yeah - sorry but the entering Javelin issue is hitting people after the last mission but I personally can't help with that other than reporting another instance of it. Sorry for the hassle, I know it totally sucks.

Hrm. Most of the issues with no sound at all have been related to sample rate/bit depth. What type of headphones/speakers are you using? USB? Bluetooth? Wired? The more info the easier for me diagnose :)

Thank you! We are trying!

They're not. My speakers and wired headphones are set to 24/96. Bluetooth is at 16/44.1. And I think the main source of the problem is that when I connect my bluetooth headset I get two devices, one for system sound and one as a VoIP Headset which operates at 16/16 and can't be changed. I tried to disable the VoIP device but the whole headset stops working when I do that.

Yeah there is a core issue with how Frostbite handles this configuration. Are you able to set everything to 16/48 to test? Curious what that changes...
