We understand that there may be innocents who get caught up in it, and we recognize it's difficult to keep tracks on everyone in your company but if we find that particular companies continue to show up with aimbotters/3rd party progs, then we'll take futher action rather than letting the group consistently gain an advantage with the use of third party progs. Our standard approach is to handle things on a case by case basis, investigate the reports as they come in, allow BattlEye to do it's job (and it's been caught quite a lot so far) with further intervention as necessary.

Yep. Me and a few buds were sailing after patch and zoned and all got disconnected and were unable to reconnect, though somehow a few of them made it back in.

Looking into this at the moment, what server are you experiencing this on? Grid and specific Network would be good.

As the title states, Drakes are simply too unbalanced now. Unless you have a defensive drake nearby to defend, you can kiss any ships that you have goodbye. I'm not saying the drake shouldn't be powerful and tough, but allowing a drake to sink a ship in 2 minutes with 150K hp is a recipe for making this a dragon simulator vs a pirate game.

Some quick stats on damage numbers to take down a drake:

Blunderbuss: 9 dmg = 16,667 shots to kill

Carbine: 53 dmg = 2,830 shots to kill

Mortar: 197 dmg = 761 shots to kill

Ballista: 300 dmg = 500 shots to kill

The inability to kill this monster off is a sure fire way to crush the morale of anyone that spent time on their fleet. We will rebuild, we will likely use the drake, because without it there is no way to be competitive in this game, especially at PVP.

Thanks for the feedback folks. The design around the Drake is that we would like it to be a worthwhile gold investment for a company. It it's current iteration, it is clearly too powerful. We'll be making some adjustments asap in an upcoming patch, and are open to making more going forward.

Looking into this

Update: We'll have a fix incoming shortly, have been informed it's server-side change and retroactive so after we redeploy the servers you'll be able to use doors/gateways again.

I am the person with the fake dreads, though I'm not able to view chat during the stream so didn't have any idea what was being said.

The clip was in reference to a change we made to the bug report category on the forums, upvotes have been enabled so users can vote on bugs that are important to them, though we'll be working on a more improved reporting system in the near future.

As for Black Butterfly, or any other companies that have been reported to be related to the admin madness that happened the other day, we posted a response on our forums earlier today:

Not sure yet about the exact numbers but I personally think it would be silly to make it less appealing than a same-size wall made of 1x1's.

I think ark has a wall that is 4 high or they're testing it. Can we maybe get a stone version of that for atlas please.

Yes we are going to make a wall about the size of the current Small Gate!

After some trial and error, I was able to determine that "Intelligence" bonuses do nothing. "+Intelligence" bonuses stack additively with each other, and multiplicatively with your base intelligence from leveling.

We'll check it out

It is optional, if you want the stat boost (get something for your efforts). Otherwise find a fountain of youth to reset your age without the boost.

Thanks for the report guys, we'll be removing them from our Official Network as well as working on patching out the vulnerability they are exploiting.

I will happily provide anything that could help figure it out.

Also in this video I am going north and in the first test I was headed east, so I guess technically the only wind change is direction.

I'm not entirely sure, I don't personally know much about running private servers atm. The best test would be to do this on Official, I'm sure there would be some takers... I'm curious myself since boat speeds have been increased so much since launch.

From what i can tell on the steam forums they dont have any immediate plans to add support either

Correct, ATLAS engine does a lot of things that are not compatible with SM4, including many things related to the water itself...

So to end any controversy in the ship I am using /u/WC_Jesse confirmed in the last post that the only difference between a Galleon spawned with "cheat ssf galleon" and a normal Galleon is that the command "cheat setignorewind" is enabled by default. You can see that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/playatlas/comments/adju7t/last_night_i_sailed_across_the_entire_map_for/edjgn34/

So for this video I turned off the command (you can see that it is off, as per WC_Jesse, the w with the - through it is no longer on the screen.

So I am on pace for under two hours at this speed, even with things slowing me down it would give me nearly 25 minutes of wiggle room to match the claim I made previously. I feel like that is plenty ...

I'm not sure what's up with your server settings or game instance but the wind in your test is clearly max wind in one direction and never changes. This does not happen on Official, and max wind speed is not that common...

Well, not really for science. I have a full map private server that I was having issues with on some server transfers, so after changing up ports and such I decided to go on a larger adventure while the map was empty to make sure everything was working. I also wanted to see how long it would take to do with all the factors such as the tornado things, ships of the damned, me avoiding islands, and of course no lag and rubberbanding that you get on official.

Anyways, 2 hours and 20 minutes later, my journey was complete. the shortest it took me to cross a server was 6 minutes and 42 seconds and the longest was 12 minutes 38 seconds.

Not quite sure where the whole "30 hours to cross" thing the devs were stating before release came from. The only sailing speed increase was a couple patches ago and that was what? 15%? So even 15% less speed would have made this no where near that 30 hour...

Posted a reply below, but "cheat" ships by default ignore wind direction (always travel at max speed for current wind) and do not require any crew to man the sails. You can tell if your current ship is ignoring wind if you see a yellow "W" with a line through it on the HUD:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Cykvxui47xgV3QQYFyAbP0zrBtgVFBgZ/view?usp=sharing

Otherwise you will see this:

FYI / PSA: "cheat" ships ignore wind and always travel at maximum speed.
