Did you have them as exactly -noWorkshop -disableMods or something else? They are cap sensitive and need to be exact to work, including having the dash in front (both one or two dashes work) and a space between them. Like this:

-noWorkshop -disableMods

I only 53 Workshop items altogether, but most are just assets and intercestions.

First check to make sure all stands have a taxiway entering and one exiting them, so the planes can leave again. If they cannot leave, they will despawn.

If that's all as it should be, please add the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods... Read more

Are you using any mods? Toggleable Whiteness comes to mind as one that would keep that window closed, but there are likely others.

Does the map in question have plane connections? Do the standard airport work?

Thank you for your reply. This problem does persist on saves with no workshop mods at all. In my case, the map does not have any plane connections. There was no standard airport on this save until I created one using the new tool.

The map having no ... Read more

Does this also happen with the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods in place? Please start a new city to test as removing mods from a save can also cause issues.

How To Set Launch Options
  • Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
  • Enter the launch options you wish to apply in the box (be sure to separate each code with a space). Should look like this:
    -noWorkshop -disableMods
  • Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

Just want to confirm that the button only shows up when you have more options than the default vehicle. Either the Vehicles of the World DLC or workshop vehicles trigger the button to appear. :)

Ship connections can be reached by expanding down towards the sea, while rail can be reached by expanding to the left towards the train tracks. Expanding left and down also gives you a larger coastline to work with.

But you could also build a cargo airport to bring in goods and distribute them with an internal rail network.

Do you see the window in the top left that shows how much soil is available?

Please try verifying game files through Steam and see if that solves it.

Originally posted by sara.apruzzese: Yes, I disabled all mods as suggested, but the problem is going on. This is the error message:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object [System.NullReferenceException]

Now I try to disable all the items that I downloaded...

Is this on a new map or a city that uses mods?

This error appears to be from Improved Public Transport 2

Do you have either the Vehicles of the World DLC or any workshop vehicles for those services installed? The option to change only shows up if there are any other vehicles than the default one to choose from.

I can't comment on what causes it to break, but there are reports of it no longer being able to change time of day.
