If you use mods please check your mods against the list of broken mods, both the first tab and especially the tab named Patch 1.17.0.
https://pdxint.at/BrokenModCS

If that doesn't help or you don't use mods, please make a thread on our support forum. We need to see your output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux) to be able to help, which cannot be attached here on Steam.

Depending on your operating system the log can be found here:
Windows

Please make sure to report bugs on our support forum and include as much information as you can about what's happening, how to trigger it, and ideally also the output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux) and the save where this is happening. Thanks!

The vast majority of mods are updated within the first week of a new patch, most within 24 hours of the patch release. We work with modders providing early access to the update so they can prepare updates ahead of time, and they put in a tremendous amount of work to make each patch as smooth as they can for everyone who plays with mods.

When we update the game, whether we're adding new features or fixing bugs, the game's code changes. Mods that reference the code which has changed will need to be updated to account for those changes, and that means waiting for updates and occasionally switching to new versions of mods. While it may not be the fun part of modding, it is unfortunately a part of the deal. This is why you are warned that the game may not work as expected when you first enabled mods. We try to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision about whether modding is for you or not.

I understand it's frustrating to have your game... Read more

If you use mods please check your mods against the list of broken mods, both the first tab and especially the tab named Patch 1.17.0. The list is constantly updated as mod issues are discovered, so I recommend checking regularly if you use mods.

Yes, like other buildings and paths it does block zoning tiles, but it can overlap with most other buildings and networks.

We have another patch planned to fix more bugs but hopefully it won't affect many mods. So far this patch looks like it only affected a few mods so fingers crossed!

There have been no changes to Seaside Resorts, the pack still features unique buildings which can be used to attract tourists to your city, who will then stay at your hotels.

Patch 1.17.1-f4 is out.

Latest patch notes

If you do play modded, you will be greeted with a notification when you start the game alerting you that some mods you are subscribed to haven't been created for the current version of the game. Opening the Content Manager will show you which mods were not made for the current version of the game, however, this does not mean the mod is broken. The notification is there to help troubleshoot but to determine which mods are known to be broken and which have been fixed, please see the list on the spreadsheet which can be accessed by clicking List Incompatible Mods.

Modders have been hard at work preparing updates, so please be patient while they apply those to the Workshop and sort out any issues that may not have been found in testing. Check the spreadsheet regularly to see which mods are st... Read more

I spotted algernon released a new mod which may help to remove Extended Managers Library and Prop Anarchy. Note that the mod is still in testing so make sure to read the description carefully.

Hello again everyone! As is tradition by now we have a free patch to compliment the release of Hotels & Retreats coming on the 23rd of May and that’s what this dev diary is all about. We have some new goodies for the base game, we have some updates to existing content, and we have new content for existing expansions adding more cross-DLC content. This update brings new additions to the base game, Green Cities, Parklife, Industries, Sunset Harbor, Airports, and Plazas & Promenades - and yes, it has new trolleybus options and roads!

New Vehicles Let’s start with a look at the new vehicles in this update. Everyone who owns the base game will be able to enjoy 6 new industry vehicles and the new cargo train engine. The industry vehicles come in a variety of shapes and sizes from the extravagant pie van delivering goods to heavy trucks hauling raw materials. Like the new cargo train engine they are automatically added to the selection of vehicles that can appea... Read more

Hello everyone and welcome to today’s dev diary where we explore the features coming to Cities: Skylines in the mini-expansion Hotels & Retreats! It brings a new customizable hotel chain to the game letting your city capitalize on tourism and organize events at your premium hotels. Hotels & Retreats will be available on PC and console on the 23rd of May. We have lots of new content to cover, so let’s get started!

Hotels & Tourists Hotels unlock when you reach Milestone 3: Tiny Town and can be found in the new Hotels tab under Parks & Plazas. You start out with 3 different 1-star hotels, but as your hotel chain becomes more successful you unlock new hotels with higher ratings all the way up to 5-star luxury hotels, which can host events.

Invite tourists to stay at the Budget Hotel (left), the Mountain Lodge (middle), or the Luxur... Read more

Simulation failed: EndDeserialize(PropManager) is usually caused by a combination of Prop Anarchy and Extended Managers Library. Make sure you have the updated versions of those mods, and if that doesn't help, I recommend unsubscribing both and getting Prop Control instead.
