This is how props and trees work, they can't be placed on top of roads. If you used to do that, then you likely used one of the Prop Anarchy mods. Check your mods against the list of broken mods, both the first tab and especially the tab named P&P DLC Patch, to see which ones are broken and get links to replacements.

If that doesn't help or you don't use mods, please make a thread on our support forum. We need to see your output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux) to be able to help, which cannot be attached here on Steam.

This thread is over a year old and we've had two major patches since then. Even if the issue is similar, the cause and solution might be entirely different.

Does this also happen if you disable Building Themes? Just as a test, make sure to not save or overwrite your save as disabling the mod will affect all the parts of the city using the mod to control what spawns. The test is just to determine if the mod is causing the despawning of WTW buildings.

Mods are already getting updated as we speak, please give everyone a chance to update their mods. The modders have done an amazing job preparing for this patch, but as this is a hobby they need to have time to apply the updates and fix any issues that weren't discovered in testing.

The service point needs to be placed on a regular road as garbage trucks need to be get to it. It isn't a service that runs on pedestrian streets, it's a collection point for outside traffic. If that makes sense :)

You paint a pedestrian area over the buildings and place a service point in the area. Then the garbage gets picked up from the service point.

Is this the same if you add the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods to Steam and attempt to start a new city?

How To Set Launch Options

Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
Enter the launch options you wish to apply in the box (be sure to separate each code with a space). Should look like this:
-noWorkshop -disableMods
Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

Looks like 81 tiles is causing you issues, there's a fix in testing here, or you can wait for the original mod to be updated.
