I see, so it's the machine or something in Windows, rather than just this game.

If GeForce Experience is running, unload that and see if you get the same problem.

If that doesn't change things, in the nVidia control panel, Manage 3D settings, force ck3.exe to use the "integrated Intel video" option as a test. That will be generally slower than the nVidia card or course, but do you still get that behaviour where lower speeds get more lag?

GeForce Experience is an application running in your computer, that nVidia install. It tries to 'optimise' the video settings of games, but sometimes it makes things worse instead. I'm asking you to unload it, so it is not running any more, then test the game again.

I can see that your Windows 10 has not had any major updates applied for over 3 years. Our games are only ever tested against Windows that is fully patched up.

Please run the Windows Updater app, and look for a new Win 10 version to install - not a patch or update but a whole new version. Apply that and reboot. Then run the Updater again, apply everything it finds, reboot, run it again ... keep doing that until there is nothing to apply. Boring I know, but you have a lot of catching up to do!

I expect the game will then work for you.

Good luck with that!

We are aware of an issue where some customers can't login/stay signed in with their Paradox account which then results in being unable to play multiplayer. With the latest path (1.2.1) it solved it for a vast majority of players but sadly not everyone >. What I'd recommend is having a look at this thread (https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ing-out-issue-persists.1444310/#post-27130246) as we're gathering as much information we can through it and hopefully, in the not too distant future, we will have a h... The symptoms are still the same? Not too bad at speed 5, worse at lower speeds? I really find it hard to think what could possibly cause that.

The previous game CK2 is now free to play on Steam, does it have the same problem?

Some crashes in the nVidia software in there, which were not in the previous dxdiag. Did you see those happen?

The framerate cap I was talking about is done in the game launcher, not in GeForce Experience. Please exit GFE entirely, run the launcher, turn off Vsync, and set refresh rate to 60 in there.

Yes, a new Paradox account using a different email.

That's probably fine then. All the other installers went okay?

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

I see some mods mentioned in there, you are testing this with no mods at all enabled, is that right?

Please disconnect that Xbox controller before you start this game.

Set the framerate cap in the game to 60.

And there's a slightly newer nVidia driver just out, may as well try that too.

Good luck!

Does turning off autosave (as a test) change the problem at all?

Okay guys, I'm convinced! One of you please start a new thread in Bug Reports forum on this, and post the above data there. Others affected should add their info to that thread too.

Sorry for that problem!

It hasn't worked as the game is running on the Intel, we can see in those logs:
"device"={
version=0
value="Intel(R) HD Graphics 630"
}

[17:52:04][contextowner.cpp:742]: GPU Name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 630

In fact the nVidia driver should do that aut... Read more

FYI we have had some reports that using a second Paradox account helps, as does using a VPN. Not quite sure what to make of those two findings together!

Do you both see the same game version and checksum in the MP lobby?

Any mods involved?

Yes, sorry about that, this is a logged bug in Mac and Linux. You might understand that report has not attracted the highest priority rating!

If that just says a newer version is already installed, that's fine. If it said anything else, please tell us EXACTLY what that is! Thanks.

I was scrolling on the forums for an answer, I did your thing in the exact order you prescribed approximately 5 times and it worked none of the times. I even tried isolating the mods individually to check if they work on their own but no they don't. Please help. I reinstalled the entire game, unsubscribed from all my mods, and deleted everything in every folder making sure it was a clean install but no luck. I don't know what you mean by all the launcher 2020.15 stuff (if it is the launcher's fault (internalized angry noises) plea...

Please reduce the frame rate cap to 60, does that help?
