Are you sure you set that refresh rate cap? What fps are you getting in the game?

Will this list be updated?
Or should we check the bug forum if a bug is already reported?
And I noticed sometimes the reports won‘t get flagged as „confirmed“ „duplicate“ .. or else
How do we know if you‘ve seen the report?

Keeping a public list of all reported issues requires a bit too much overhead, so the known issues list is typically limited to ones that would be particularly prominent or frustrating for players. Which is to say, yes it'll be updated but i... Read more

Hello everyone! We're releasing a hotfix today to address some of the issues with yesterday's 1.10.0 update. While we have fixes for other reported/known issues coming up shortly, we felt the ones listed below were severe enough to warrant an immediate update.

1.10.0.1 'Quill' Hotfix Changelog
  • Fixed an issue where AI rulers do not marry as much as intended.
  • Fixed an issue that removed the two buttons under the Wards tab in the character interface.
  • Fixed an issue resulting in crashes for resumed games from older versions.

As always, if you encounter any problems not listed in our known issues thread[forum.paradoxplaza.com], then please let us know about it either in ... Read more

Confederate Partition auto-creates all the titles that can be created.

Check your succession screen and you'll see there are three types of partition.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of scheming, murdering people or even backmailing them, but I find that the entire process is rather tiresome and more often than not I only use hooks in order to sell them back. That is hardly as intended. Rarely do I ever tell my Spymaster do to anything else, but to chose the standard task and rarely ever do I feel the need to pressure someone. By the time I have a hook on my liege, I have won a war against him anyway. Vassal contracts? Don't really care, especially since you seem to have to alt...

It should, yes.

This is more of a heads up to users who are deliberately using OpenGL; if you're not sure what this thread means, then you're almost certainly not impacted by it.

Is this with a save/campaign that was started under a previous patch? If so, best to revert to that patch in the Steam Betas tab for this game, to finish it off.

Then you can opt out of that older version back to the current version, to start a new campaign.

All the best!

Royal Court worked under the older patch so that should be okay. How the game reacts to the introduction of a new DLC part-way into a campaign I do not know though, that's a quite independent factor to the patch save compatibility issue. You could of course disable that DLC in our launcher or the Steam "Manage My DLCs" page.

Good luck!

I have to admit I was surprised there was no mention of compatibility in the 1.10 release notes, not that I could see anyway.

I would say it is common for a major patch (such as 1.9.x to 1.10.x here) on any of our games to not be 100% save game compatible, though. Normally minor patches (1.9.1 to 1.9.2 say) aren't such an issue.

I do apologise for the effect on you!

Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Did you set the refresh rate cap to 60?

But I still have no explanation for that bizarre display issue. Has it always happened with this game? Or it was okay up to some point?

I assume the recent 1.10 patch did not change anything?

So does asking about this on the forum. Count Heralt doesn't have a PC, now, does he?

I don't know about the glasses and the other two things are statements, not questions.

There's nothing terribly unusual about vassals that are theocracies or republics.

No obvious cause in those files, although you may as well update that AMD video driver

Can I get the pdx_settings.txt file please?

Today marks the release of Wards & Wardens, and we hope you'll have plenty of fun wrangling unruly young rulers-to-be, managing your royal hostages, and visiting scholarly universities in the pursuit of knowledge!

As always, we want to keep updating and improving the game alongside each release - this time we've especially honed in on multiplayer stability, something that was unfortunately lacking after the last update. We've spent a lot of time hunting down annoying out-of-syncs, and we've managed to squash all of them that we could find - bar one that'll be fixed in an upcoming update (but it's fortunately avoidable; don't select Pay Homage/Petition Liege and cancel it before setting out on travel!)

Another change of note is that the AI will now purchase and manage Men-at-Arms more dynamically, especially later in the game - instead of all AIs wanting the exact same ratio of income-to-MaA. Warmonger Archetypes, powerful rulers, and strong mid-to-late-game economies ... Read more
