Hi @anomba,

Sorry to hear this. Has there been any changes to your network recently, that you can think of, or anything that might have been installed/updated on your PC?

Can you also please try disabling ‘Portrait Rendering’ via the ‘Settings’ → ‘Interface’ menu and see if that reduces the rate at which you encounter these errors?

Comment

Ah, was the issue resolved by changing your Steam download region?

In any case, I’m glad to hear you were able to resolve this :slight_smile:

Thank you for the update and for sharing your solution. I’m glad you were able to resolve this issue! :slight_smile:

@kenjihario, sorry to hear this.

In cases where verifying integrity of game files does not resolve this issue, I recommend to try a clean re-installation of Darktide:

Sorry, out of interest when was I an ‘unprofessional jackass’?

This bundle is for all pc players who played Darktide before 17th November 2023 - which is next Friday!

Comment

This is completely not the case!
We have other plans around our anniversary which will be announced soon - this bundle was created since our last update around this issue.

This sounds odd, but could you try disabling ‘Portrait Rendering’ via the ‘Settings’ → ‘Interface’ menu and see if that reduces the rate at which you error?

Could you see if deleting your AppData works to resolve this?:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
  4. Delete the ‘Darktide’ directory

You may then need to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option via Steam:

  1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam

Sorry to see this. This should now be resolved - let me know if you have any problems.

Hi everyone,

It has been a joy to watch players, old and new alike, jump into Tertium following the release of Patch #13 - thank you for your support.

A few weeks ago we said we’d get back to you regarding concerns raised by our PC community - today we’re laying out how we’re addressing them.

We’ll be granting the Vanguard bundle to PC players (Steam and WinPC) who have played Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on PC before November 17, 2023.

The Vanguard bundle includes:

  • Exclusive cosmetics for all classes: inspired by our first teaser trailer ...

i looked a bit deeper in the crashdump and found out that it’s likely stalling on creating ray tracing objects (regardless if you have it on or not).

To force it off you can try in game files open win32_settings.ini and set ray_tracing, to false.
Meaning it should say
ray_tracing = false
instead of
ray_tracing = true

You’re missing a DLL from the Visual C++ Redistributables. You should be able to resolve this by:

  1. Uninstall the Visual C++ 2019 Redistributables
  2. Reinstall the Visual C++ 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 Redistributables: Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn
  • You may be prompted with an option to repair, as opposed to install. In which case, you may proceed with the option to repair

Apologies for the delay - could you try deleting your AppData please?

Please be aware this will reset any custom keybindings.

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to: AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\MicrosoftStore
  4. Delete the entire ‘Darktide’ directory
  5. Launch Darktide as normal
Comment

May I confirm that you selected the Darktide.exe and not the Launcher.exe please?

Comment

This appears to be a result of the Weapon Customisation mod.

Comment

Could you please try launching Darktide directly via the .exe (as opposed to via Steam), and screenshot any errors that appear?

The path to the Darktide.exe should look similar to this: Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\binaries

We’re looking in to what we can do manually to resolve this and I hope to have an update next week.
