It's a known issue that is already partially fixed. There have lately been additional changes for a full fix that probably will make it to 9.3. I'm not aware of any 'workarounds', unfortunately.

The server size is limited by the three coordinates multiplied going higher than the maximum integer value. This means, the bigger the world is the more limited is the maximum height until it reaches a point where the maximum height is lower than the highest mountain to generate and the server hence crashes. The maximum supported size is 4km² (200 x 200), any size above will not get support when issues arise.

For a 4 km² world you want at least 16 GB of RAM if you plan on having an active public server, scaling beyond is not tested, as it's not supported.

There are no PvP mods to my knowledge. If there were, you couldn't find them on the official modding pages, though, as we do not endorse those.

No, Eco does not have hot springs or thermal power currently.

Yes, /fin passes elections. It can also be done more fine-grained with commands.

It's called a sickle now and available from the very beginning.

Sole focus will be on finishing EA on PC, might look into it after that.

Cutting Edge Cooking is indeed not yet implemented.

You can put the discord server into your Network.config and it will be shown as part of the tutorial and in the description overview of the server in the serverlist, but the other two things are not possible without a mod.

I guess that'd be possible, but a very workaround so very unlikely to happen.

It would also be possible to make specific socket walls, but the issue there always is on how benefitting is a specific feature or in this case new block for all players, as that in the end will determine if it is being worked on and with which priority. Currently we're still adding more alternatives, then we need a lot of new T3 materials, as that one direly needs love and in the end everyone wants painted blocks as well, as I have heard *g*

So sure - that would work, but I cannot say if that ever will make it to the game.

The wall-lamps do fit on every full block as you mentioned, it's just how the building and block system works technically. Changing that would be a massive overhaul of the backend that I doubt could be seen anytime in the near to medium future.

No, and it's likely we wouldn't allow them to be hosted on our official modding pages either. We do love the work the modders do every day for our game out there and as in most games they are a major part of the games success, but we'd hate to see Eco being made into Rust via mods. I can only ask for understanding that we see Eco as a peaceful game in the sense of no violence - there still is enough PvP possibility there and trust me when I say it's used - I administrate the official servers, lol.

Well, your mileage may of course vary, I was just referring to the simple fact that we do have australians playing there with the mentioned ping that, as I said, have issues, but can cope with it well enough.

Australia not having a official server is simply due to the fact that there isn't nearly enough players for such a server. The australian community in Eco is still extremely small and we couldn't get the amount of regular players to fill such a server even to 1/4th of what is required for best gameplay.

Additionally, the price for a server similar to the EU official servers there is about 4 - 5 times as high if available at all, which is also one of the reasons there is no official US servers at this moment. We had some a way back, but their usage was very low (most people playing on private servers for the US) and the price for the required servers in the US is just 3 times the price in europe as well. As a indie studio those costs do matter and the price ... Read more

I'm not sure what you mean? Are you referring to Towns & Nations? That's a future update.

This hints at the server not being able to keep up with the connections and play of the affected people, either due to being too weak or the connection not being strong enough. Every 10 minutes the server calculates world ticks and sends them to the users at once - this requires both a lot of CPU power and causes a burst in network activity.

The only fix for that would be getting a more stable and powerful connection or, if it's a performance issue, a better CPU. (Or hosting on a dedicated server or a GSP)

that would be a good addition tbh.
I guess we will do that some time far in the future, but currently it would require a massive backend change, as its currently technically impossible.

That's true - but doesn't only apply to official servers only, but also to most of the well-known community servers with unique concepts. Ecostasia when they do a big run, Green Leaf, Maiestas Haven or SnepServ as a now half-year longterm server.

The concept of Eco works the better the more players you have. Having a multitude of servers doesn't work out as good as having less with more players. Servers typically get a broad resident player base by doing stuff with unique concepts and being good at that.

Ping isn't a big issue in Eco either. All official servers have a broad US playerbase that has that ping and even australians with 400+. Yes, the latter have issues, but you can still play very well. US ping is a non-issue for the vast majority of players.

No, but you could technically just cheat all books in and distribute the scrolls.

No, such a command does not exist.

Doch, natürlich. Du kannst alternativ auch einfach Configs und Saves mitnehmen.
