It also will also incentivize people to group as publics as well, as you need to form a town to get notably more claims. The gameplay will be vastly different as of it's current design.

The setting you talk about is in Difficulty.eco and called "PlayerExperiencePerSpecialtyExperience": 0.0.

Make sure to set it to really low numbers, like 0.0001 for starters, otherwise you might see flooding of stars, we don't support that setting and I don't know how it interacts nowadays.

Settlement feature is highly underrated. Will fundamentally change how servers handle governments. Very interested to see how authoritarian admins handle this

It will actually also fundamentally change how Eco is played, as you can only have claims at one area - your homestead - without getting claims from a different town and following their immigration policy or just trade with them.

Hello Eco Citizens,
with 9.7 performance updates almost complete (one more big update for this version to come), the majority of the team is working on the long awaited ECO 10! We’re going to be doing little quality of life updates along the way, but have a deadline set of April 3rd for the start of public playtest for Update 10.

We’re going to be demoing the features as we build up to this launch with live streams, here’s the schedule, with each livestream from various Eco devs typically happening on Fridays at 21:00 CET / noon Pacific Time. You can watch the demos on Twitch[www.twitch.tv], ... Read more

The loading times depend heavily on server and client performance, which is why I can drive fully fine with the trucks typically, aside of White Tiger - the limit is at a different point for every player, so balancing the truck around this is not viable.

It's also not an issue we can easily 'fix', but something that is resulting from general performance implications that are different for each player and hence a continuous effort, like some of the recent performance updates address.

We tolerate using of mods to reach the goal, but ask for such servers to be placed in the category "Strange Worlds", until we have adapted the master list to enforce that automatically:

https://github.com/thomasfn/EcoCivicsImportExportMod - Export and import civics

https://github.com/TheKye/Eco-WorldEdit - Export and import buildings

Manipulating the save game in regards to its time or using any methods to halt the time are considered a ToS violation against server list integrity and may lead to the server that used them to be removed from the server list permanently.

Overcrowding is only affecting naturally spawned plants currently and hence can be ignored.

Hey Citizens,
we have just released Update 9.7.7, please find the changelog below:

Civics:
  • Fixed: A failed attempt to overthrow the constitution would nontheless lead to all laws on the server being removed and the web ui no longer displaying prior elections to some players.
  • Fixed: After a failed vote to ratify a constitution in some circumstances it was not possible to try to ratify another one.
  • Fixed: In specific circumstances it was possible to change demographics instantly without having permissions to do so.

Server
  • Fixed: In some cases migration of a world from Update 9.1 could fail.
  • Fixed: Migration of a world from Update 9.5 could fail due to "ghost" districts that were not part of any district map.
  • Fixed: When placing unavailable technical items that can only be spawned by admins (accidentially), ...

We don't hide the fact that we consider and wish Eco to be a peaceful game without violence and aren't very happy about it being modded away from that. Nontheless you can of course do that if you want for yourself, but we do indeed not support publishing of such mods on our channels. :)

Not a fan of combat in every game, especially peaceful educational games with fully different goals personally either. Obviously it's not a good idea to attack me personally either and I like to be straight-forward with people.

We have a lot of 'combat' in our government and economic systems if you join a public server, we ourselves do not wish to expand it beyond that.
