You can change these settings via the server ui to become effective immediately or via configs, then you need to restart the server. You do not need a new world / savegame, other than when you try to disable the settlements system completely - that does not work on worlds that had them turned on at least once.

We have no current ways or plans to go below that, is there a specific use why you would want to make UI size that low?

The voting system is a legacy one from back when Eco was created for educational purposes and required the web ui for classroom usage. We do plan to move voting ingame as well.

Yes and before that Update the setting only worked in worlds with settlements off, which is only the case for migrated worlds from 9.7 or dedicated worlds that were made that way, but not newly created singleplayer worlds.

Absolutely, you can configure everything about the settlements system in Settlements.eco

It is easiest to edit it via the server ui when you start the dedicated server executable, as that will show descriptions for the settings, but the requirements are set here:

"MinCitizensToFoundSettlement": [
3,
12,
30
],

Number of citizens in order Town, Country, Federation.

There is currently a problem with worlds not being created when "random generation" is selected, you can work around by starting the dedicated server executable manually to generate a random world (in steamapps/common/Eco/Eco_Data/Server) and load it from the client. We will fix the issue in the next hotfix.

As for unity crashes on first launch, those are so far all caused by older cpus that do not support AVX2 / SSE4 instruction sets and below our minimum requirements. We are working with some affected users to find a potential fix - all info and updates for that are posted on our discord, as we need direct contact: https://discord.gg/eco

Please reach out to your hosting provider, they should be able to help you with this.

The reason for those reviews is the "Steam Game Awards Nominations", which required you to make a review for one of your nomations.

The issue with missing claim papers on levelup for singleplayer will be addressed with the next hotfix, note that you do not need to claim anything but your house for housing bonus in singleplayer. Feel free to let us know what other changes you have problems with in singleplayer - but make sure you use NoCollaboration preset for difficulty and changed the settings to your liking. You can configure everything from resource cost multipliers to skill gain speed for your sessions :)

The steps mentioned above do _not_ work, the line was removed from Balance.eco and moved to Difficulty.eco in preparation of the next hotfix that will address the problem, so singleplayer will receive claims on levelup. Changing it in Difficulty.eco doesn't do anything currently either, please have allow us a bit more time for the next hotfix. Sorry for the inconvenience.

You can also spawn claimstakes and claimpapers in the meanwhile via /give. You do not need to claim anything on singleplayer, though - only your house for housing bonus and some machines like the Sewage Filter.

Features.eco:
"SettlementSystemEnabled": false,

You cannot turn it off on an existing world that had it turned on, you need to create a new one, existing worlds will crash.

We already had this in the past, but it wasn't liked by most of our players and was removed again. We have no plans to reintroduce it currently.

Mac / Linux isn't supported by Eco. For M macs it doesn't work at all, the CPU isn't supported.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciated! That should be the case for everyone that has "Connect" on Twitch, but it shows connected on our website. For players where it does not show as connected on our website as well, please reach out to [email protected] from the mail you use for your SLG account.

At the moment yes outdoors counts as being alone and you can just use the double work speed without issues. All perks will get reworked and be more unique per each profession in a future update. (this goes for things like the bloomery, blast furnace, oil refinery as well)

No, on official servers we just solve that with good old hand written rules.

This affects local servers started from within the clients, only when choosing randomly generated world. Will be adressed next week. If you want a random world, as workaround you can start the dedicated server executable manually to generate one, and then load it via the client.

In cases where you see a successful link on play.eco and only Twitch still shows "Connect", the only thing I can do is recommending you to contact Twitch support, our information is still "Wait".

We have tons of admin commands, recently even introduced experimental admin uis. (Civics.eco - must set a config value to true, to not overwhelm singleplayers) It's just wrong we wouldn't care about admins, given I personally have admin tools introduced all the time for our official servers that everyone profits from. A very nice one is /edit - allows you to list and edit basically any data. (Attention: Any edits you make are implemented IMMEDIATELY - without pressing apply / confirm!)

The user name is core identifier that can be changed via /object edit, but that may fail the save, so do on your own risk. You must do a restart for it to take effect and any related objects will not be renamed (like the personal bank account). We do plan to introduce a separate identifier in a future update and the ability to set your name for each server, but currently it's not possible.

We have ran the configuration you have mentioned to not be possible for our official servers... Read more
